I would imagine for an organization like HBO for example they could easily write in the contract the percentage takes for a boxer, promotional company etc. I don't record on my VCR now because it's hooked up on another TV. One of these days I'm gonna hire some kid to get me all up to date with technology.

Their might just be too many shifts in the fighters situations.Jumping networks, etc.Until recently HBO and Showtime would not even show clips of one another.Besides, they are divas....Man you have me beat.I actually still record some on a VCR,just habit I suppose.I have more lbs of plastic than an episode of 'New jersey housewives' lol.Transfering onto DVD is one huge slow pain in the arse...let alone down loading all of them ><.Sooooooome day. Some day

I use DVDFlick which is free and so simple to use, just drop the avi or whatever format into the programme and it rips them onto a dvd for wetching on telly.
I also had a load of video tapes i transferred to dvd's recently they were all from old ITV Fight Night and the likes so don't see how it can't be done nowadays.
My local dvd rental place has a tonne of UFC stuff to rent. Boxing needs to catch up a bit.
