Default Juan Diaz v Ricky Hatton looks like it might happen

Even at this stage id take Hatton to beat Diaz at 140.

It would be a very exciting fight, but I think Hatton would stop Diaz if he's even 75% of the fighter he used to be.

Hatton will get beaten by defensively sound fighters with excellent handspeed, which Diaz is not.

    This is a great fight.

Hatton desperately needs a guy that can't punch that hard and Juan Diaz will be glad to have somebody right in front of him. Maybe its just me but I would really like to see this happen even though I'd prefer that Juan go back to 135.

for me hattons chin is gone - he wont ever beat another quality puncher in his career, bu diaz will be a test of how well hatton can still fight and box.

this is probably the only fight which could really enhance rickys legacy if he can beat him, we know his chin is gone but people will still say hatton couldnt box, if he can outfight and outbox diaz that will at least put to rest some critics.

great fight i hopew it happens

Stylistically, this is the perfect fight for Hatton. Even though I still think its a close fight. But this could do more harm than good. Hatton may look good enough against a guy like Diaz and then think he is back to form. But its hard to tell if Hatton's chin or confidence is gone and if he is gunshy. One thing for certain is Hatton is not going to bring anything different. But neither will Diaz. If Hatton goes to the body plenty I'd favor him.

Hatton won't need much chin against Diaz. They are both swarmers, but Hatton hits harder and he is still faster. Diaz has a better jab, but I doubt he'll be able to control him with it enough to negate the speed different. Hatton's hook will beat Diaz hook to the target every time.
