Stylistically, this is the perfect fight for Hatton. Even though I still think its a close fight. But this could do more harm than good. Hatton may look good enough against a guy like Diaz and then think he is back to form. But its hard to tell if Hatton's chin or confidence is gone and if he is gunshy. One thing for certain is Hatton is not going to bring anything different. But neither will Diaz. If Hatton goes to the body plenty I'd favor him.

That's what I'm afraid of, I mean the fight with Paulie seemed to make him think he was a fucking 'MONSTOR for his weight'

If the fight comes off, UK venue, goes out on a win, announces his retirement to the crowd and that's a lid on a great career as a British boxer who did wonders for increasing the popularity of boxing in the UK.

You could put these two in a walk in closet.Question is over Hattons mental and physical state after being blitzed by Pacquiao.Diaz may also have a false sense of confidence off rail thin iffy win vs Paulie and himself being brutally KO'd prior vs. Marquez. Can def see this one being made...IF Hatton has some chin and confidence remaining,I think he can beat Diaz on the inside.

I know style makes fights but if Hatton beats Diaz, will Pacquaio's win over Hatton have more weight than Marquez' victory over Diaz? Vice-versa.

I get the styles make fights thing but really, I'm not sure what this does for Hatton atall, and to be honest, I could see that the other way round too, it doesn't do a whole lot for Diaz either.

Hatton beat Malignaggi up no sweat atall, so a close fight between Diaz and Paulie sees Diaz have no where near enough to stop Hatton... Surely.... ? I'm guessin that this fight could provide plenty of blood though....

To be honest, though many Americans might not know who he is, I'd love to see John Murray in with Diaz. You could certainly put that in a telephone booth for sure, straight up war...........
