I thnk there are 2 possibilities to Beristain's crazy comments either
A) They're trying to give Floyd yet another distraction to deal with (Police searching his home, Roger's case, Floyd Sr possibly coming in as trainer)
B) They're admitting defeat and thereby decreasing the value of a Floyd victory and setting up Juan's move back to a lower weight class
C) Most likely someone made this up

Slip of the tongue? Complete fabrication? I don't see the purpose otherwise - Floyd will train just as hard either way.
