I didn't know we were just talking about the movie. Nonetheless, they're still making money by capitalizing on peoples interest in a manufactured issue.
huh? who's we? who were you talking about? ok, I wasn't referring to the history channel and discovery channel stuff you mentioned. Anyways, yeah they're making money, but I think you're being a little too cynical here. History/Discovery channels are pretty level headed as tv goes. I don't think people are being exploited, they have an interest in the subject, and so people make shows about it, even if it is bullshit or speculation. I 'd say the number of people who really buy into the doom and prophesy thing is not sufficient to justify these shows. It's just interesting, or maybe just entertainment.
