I thought this deserved its own thread It's a solo acoustic version performed by George that I don't recall ever hearing before. very nice.

    Great stuff .

I always liked George the best then Ringo ,John and Paul last.
Outside of the screaming women back then I bet there were alot of people who liked their personalities the reverse way around to their popularity.

Georges work is more subtle in some ways too no pretenses like some of Pauls or direct aim at anything like Johns.

I totally agree with that. George made a lot of killer tracks as a Beatle and was so prolific in the early years after the breakup. All things must pass is a quality album and I have a soft spot for Living in the Material World too. His solo stuff was much better than anything McCartney was putting out at this time.

I thought George's Bangladesh Concert was very good. Good performances, well produced technically, there's some good videos available on youtube. Unfortunately it was a bit of a disaster financially, from what I understand.

My Dad has that on vinyl, must be a quadruple set or even more. I don't recall. There are some good performances on it as far as I remember. I haven't listened to it in years though.

That's pretty cool. Never heard that before. I like it when people can effectively use a musical instrument in a musical style that it was wasn't intended for.

Spineshank has also a nice version of it, turning it to techno/screamo metal. MTV played it a lot, it's worth checking.

That's pretty good Scrap, i have a preference for this one, featuring Eric Clapton on lead guitar.

Seeing as how we're on the topic. He ain't George of course, but he's not too shabby for a guy who never learned how to hold a guitar.

You may remember him from the movie Roadhouse. Healey died of cancer last year. R.I.P.
