Of course what those guys say is an insult to hardcore boxing fans like us, but for the general public they are trying to sell the fight, so expect to see them hype up the fight.
500-600k ppv buys for this fight, somewhere around that range.

I don't see why anyone is insulted by this take. Boxing is a business also and you must hype up each and every fight as much as possible. Keeping the fight in people's ears is called good promoting. Hit all avenues not just what some specific customer wants. I for one like the fact that fights are talked about as many places as we can get it. I am obsessed with boxing so I'm already in but this just helps the possible watcher learn what we have going on. And for the record, Marquez is the real deal. He is more of a problem than Hatton, Corrales, Castillo, Judah and maybe even a 154 lb. Oscar. Marquez is every bit as good as Pac so everyone pushing for the Pac/PBF fight should clearly see that Marquez is an equal threat. Marquez just doesn't have the hype and obsessed fans. The product quality itself is equal to Pac/Mayweather. Enthusiasts should know this and therefore the casual fans are the ones who need to hear that. I am really befuddled how people are taking Marquez so lightly. Like a joke even. If Floyd takes this way of thought then he will get his winning streak ended next week.

^ Thank you!! ^
Marquez is one of the best p4p fighters in the world and people still ride Mayweather as though he has taken the easy route?
Marquez is the biggest threat to Mayweathers 0 yet. He "beat" Pacquaio twice, somebody who people now think would do Floyd over but somehow Floyd has taken the easy route by taking on Pacquaio's achilles heel? That arguement doesn't make sense to me.
Miles, really?? Hatton made that fight sell 850k in the US? You think there are 850 thousand fat blokes in the US hanging around in english pubs playing darts who bought that fight? Come on mate..nobody gives a fuck about Hatton in the U.S.
Mayweather is a draw..nowhere near on the levels of De La Hoya or some other past fighters but he is a draw..even if only for the fact that people want to see him lose.
Saying that, this fight does nowhere near as much as 1 mill. I reckon 6-700k - Still a good figure

ex-fuckin-zactly!
People act as if without Hatton or Oscar Mayweather would be curtain jerking espn events.
He's a legit and proven draw. His fights with Hatton/Oscar did more than Pacquiao's against the same guys. That says something. & yeah yeah, economy, weight issues, undefeated records, witchcraft blah blah. But a draw is a draw is a draw no matter how much reasoning there is behind it.
I dont see this fight as a farce, i see it as a good fight. Marquez has the skill to figure mayweather out because thats what he does. I think Marquez is less powerful version of Kostya Tszyu and timing is what you need to beat fast fighters like floyd and Marquez certainly has that.
well.. we'll just wait and see if they break 1M buys.. the fight is just around the corner..
I will go with Youngblood on that one; They are trying to promote the fight so they have to say the usual routine stuff, will break records, incredibly fight, perhaps one of the best of the century and so on.
Personally, I am not insulted by it... neither am I naive enough to buy their predictions, I would say that this fight will turn more around 372 000 buys, maybe 400K if they are lucky but not more than this, not for Mayweather or Marquez.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
It's not as disgusting as watching that suck up leonard ellerby and knowing that probably 5 years down the road he's gonna be caught laundering and stealing 20 million dollars from Floyd's accounts. Something about that guy screams bankruptcy.
