A person doesn't have to be naive to know what they want. It's not my intention to be negative about the fight. It's just part of my character to be honest and for me it crosses the line when it's a lie. I can do with out the BS.

As for marketing, I agree and think it's a very smart idea from HBO & GBP, and I'm sure they will reach some audiences with it, including those boxing fans that jump on the band wagon. If it breaks 1M PPV's, I'm happy for boxing! If it does less than 300K, I'll be happy for Marquez and very sad for boxing because the blame will likely go to the UFC. I'll also have some pity for Mayweather if it does that poorly but only a little.
You guys are so nauseating and tiring... really now you fukwits feel insulted Gimme a break! Youngblood hit it right on the head... The Unretired former PFP#1 Fighter in the world vs the reigning#2 A match between 2 of the greatest tacticians ever to lace them up. One coming off a 2 year layoff the other storming up a few weight classes and surging thru previous opponents and knocking them out for the 1 time.

Seriously I dont need to watch the video, judging by the detractors insinuating they feel INSULTED is enough to tell me where your brains are.. UP YOUR ARSES!!!!!

    It's a made up 'megafight'
Remove Head From A$$ Then Post
    Now that's insulting!

Might reach 500K-600K with all the hype.
    Glad I could help

You guys act like this fight is an overpriced screwing and colossal waste of time, but yet Pac's minions and most others were happy to pony up $49.95 last year to see him smack around that tomato can David Diaz which was 10x the horseshit matchup

Is anybody saying this shouldn't be PPV? (I didn't read the first page and a half. ) Both Floyd and Pac have had worse PPV's than this.

I wouldn't be shocked by 750. Of course I have given it like 2 seconds of thought.

Of course it is, we need more tough competitive PPVs like the much heralded, fan friendly Cotto-Jennings/Pavlik-Rubio double header

I didn't pay for it, and I never said it was a good PPV card, because it wasn't PPV worthy.

Anything with Mayweather is a waste of my money, and I refuse to line his pockets.

apparently not when he helps hold the record for most PPV buys, DLH didn't do it alone, other DLH fights that were already expected to have lots more entertainment value didn't sell as much as that fight

I never said that Floyd didn't bring some of the numbers in, I know he has his fans, but the truth is, before he fought Oscar or Hatton, his highest ppv number was 374,000 against Zab Judah. He did 365,000 against Gatti, and 325,000 against Baldomir, so yeah he can claim that he's part of the ppv record, but it was mostly Oscar's doing.

i say it has to do evenly with both, Oscar just being The Golden Boy and Mayweather knowing how to sell a fight

I think that number is relative and runs in conjunction with exposure.. The more people he beats on the world stage the more people will tune in for future fights... I doubt anyone will touch the numbers of Tyson and Oscar

And on that, it is Gatti who did drag all the assistance as Gatti was one of the most charismatic fighter and interestingly enough, one of those who did the biggest amount of headlines for HBO.
