Who punches harder Mayweather or Marquez?

I think Marquez has the better punch for punch technique,sharp selection.But think he'll sacrifice his speed in effort to sit inside with Mayweather.Mayweather can punctuate a flurry but more often than not is equally focused on moving off and resetting unless he's 100 % convinced your through.

IMO, I think Marquez's is more of an arm puncher and will lose some of his effectiveness at the higher weight but his best punch is his uppercut and it's deadly.

Mayweather's power comes from speed and timing, JMM's power is strength and timing...little different, but at the weight I know Floyd's is more tested.

I don't think there's much difference although its obviously still an unknown how he'll carry it up, I think even against a somewhat past it Casamayor Floyd would have had a hard time hurting him with one punch as much as JMM did. In fact I'd go as far to say Marquez has been more of a concussive one punch type at 135 than Floyd was.

I dont see him as an arm puncher really.A bit wide at first with recent more assertive style but once hes close and finds opening he gets solid leverage,sharp shots.Totally agree with the loss of speed over 135.All of the bulky jackets and boulder tossing...way to compact/tight on that frame I think.
