    If Pacquiao wins I get to choose a sig you need to put on your profile for a month. Likewise if Cotto wins you give me one. Good thing your an Everton fan too I'm a season ticket holder there. I'll forget your from Manchester now.

    It seems im with the minority on this one. I just carnt seem to right Pac off after what he has done in recent fights. No-one would have predicted what was going to happen against DLH and Hatton, who's to say he carnt do the same again.

    Every time ya right Pac off he comes back and bites ya in the ass, so on that basis Pac beats Cotto.

    Actually you are in the majority

    Pacquiao = 1/2 = -200
    Cotto = 28/15 = +186

    As a matter of fact I can't see a book that has Cotto as the favorite.
    Granted the odds will shift a bit in the next two weeks, but barring some
    weird injury PAC will stay the favorite.

    For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

    Hatton did get close to Pac in the 1st round before he got hurt.I think it will take Cotto alittle longer because he will box his way in not rush like Hatton. As long as he can weather the first few rounds and the cut doesnt open up i see him pushing Manny back and stopping him around the 6th.

    It all depends if pac has the speed advantage or not. If he has a sizeable speed advantage i'm going with pac. If the speed is equal between the two, i will pick no one because it iis a toss up.

    I did.

    I said Hatton would be knocked out in the 5th against Pacquiao. I was off by two. (I got a lot of people here on Saddo angry about saying that)

    I said Manny would defeat ODLH easily and convincingly.

    So where do I stand on this fight?

    There are a lot of intangibles that will not allow me to make a clear assertion of this fight.

    Manny Pacquiao did not take this fight because he saw greatness against Clottey. He said he took this fight because he saw a flawed Cotto. I did too.

    The old rebuttal is, who looks good against Clottey? It's a fair statement.
    I personally was unable to get a feel for Cotto in that fight because Clottey was slipping and sliding the entire fight. How this slipping and sliding effected Cotto's timing? I am not sure. Something was just wrong in this fight.

    Is Cotto shot? Most will try to bank on this or are counting on it. I am still not sure if the plaster beating ruined him but he has only had two fights since the plaster gate? No one knows if Cotto is damaged goods but there are hints of it. IMO

    I believe there was an illusion created by Floyd and then further magnified by Pacquaio.

    Illusion? Floyd let Hatton hang around for 9 rounds too many.
    Floyd let ODLH hang around for 11 rounds too many.

    So then Manny comes and beats an old shot ODLH which PBF should have done the same but was too afraid because that is not his temperament anymore same with Hatton. Let's face it folks, Hatton was never really all that great. Yes he made KT quit but what else did he do?

    Although I feel Cotto might be a little shot, I don't see him as shot as most need him to be or wish him to be. I believe he still has one or two fights left in him.

    I don't see Manny beating Cotto just like I could not see JMM beating Floyd Mayweather Jr.

    So I am picking Cotto to win just hoping he is not shot beyond getting past Manny.

    I like both fighters and I wish both could win but that is not up to me to decide.

    I will take Cotto to stop Manny in 8.

    Bold prediction, I know.

    We also have to take into consideration Cotto will have to come in two pounds lighter and people are banking on him being a little weight drained.

    Both fighters have advantages and disadvantages working for them and against them. It should be an interesting fight. What will be more interesting than this fight is... What or who is next? I can't wait.

    May the best warrior win. I won be angry at the outcome. Both men deserve to win for so many reasons.

    Anything can happen in this fight.

    Either the illusion stops here or Manny is the One. I wont use Cotto is shot or weight drained as an excuse.

    Yeah he got banned for being a douche to a couple of other members, one in particular he went really overboard... There is no set length of time of the ban either, it should be quite a while though...

    So anyway, one month sig bet it is...
