I never did get 100% range back, but I came close enough that it wasn't a problem. One thing I can't do is lie flat on my back with my hands folded behind my head, and touch the floor with the elbow of the arm that was fixed. I come really close, but not quite as far as the other arm. Perhaps if I really worked it I might have, but I'm a lazy S.O.B.

    good luck.
I got the same problem. I can't do that either and I'm scared to lay like that incase one of your friends push your arms down. Holy shit would that ever hurt.

But strengthening the muscles around the joints. I really don't know what work outs I would have to do, to work them muscles.

    Any clues?
Sorry, I didn't notice your reply. Anyways, with regards to touching the floor with your elbows, IMO when you are rehabbing, there are some exercises you can't really do by yourself, that's where a good physio comes in. Or at least a helper who has some idea of what to do. Have a friend go to a physio session with you to get some idea how to help.

As for hints on specific exercises, nah I can't really say. But it shouldn't be too hard to find out.

Alright so I went to the YMCA yesterday to workout and since I had surgery on my right shoulder I figured it would help build muscle around my arm. I worked all my upper body muscles and arm muscles.

When I got done with working out, My surgery arm hurt really really fucking bad.

I also noticed that my arm afterwards about a couple hours, the bones in my right shoulder were rubbing against other bones. Or thats what it sounds like. My girlfriend even heard it rubbing together when I move it a certain way.

When I move my surgery shoulder (right) backwards to an upside L posistion it feels like its going to pop. My surgery shoulder is in so much pain when I move it.

What do you guys think I should do?

And what do you think the rubbing sound is in my arm?

    Also:

I tried contacting my surgery doctor today, orthopedics doctor, but the offices closed 6 minutes before I called.
