No way he`ll get a decision in germany against sauerlands headline act
Taylor will have to win at least 9 of the 12 rounds to even merit a draw. The judging in germany is the most byest around and dates right back to the days of sven ottke getting backhanded decisions every time he stepped in the ring with a superior opponent!!
one dangerous horrible bloke

Looking at all possibilities for Taylor I can not see him beating King Arthur. No way. Wrong matchup. The guy is granite chinned, ridiculous conditioning, and presses like a bull. As much as I hate to say it I very much doubt Taylor will have the conditioning to hold up to a King Arthur pressure fight. I will be going for Taylor but King Arthur is the real deal and I can't see Taylor changing into a pure boxer by this fight.

Don't see it...
I'm lookin forward to this fight. The way I see this is that is that Abraham fights in spurts. If Abraham really was an impressive pressure fighter not giving his opponent time to breath I would say that Taylor would get stopped inside 9 rounds maybe less. AA's tendency to fight in spurts really gives Taylor a chance to school Abraham in my opinion.
I say Taylor really is too fast, too slick and as we saw against Froch's granite chin, he punches hard, so this being said, if Taylor can have better footwork than against Froch, I think that unless Abraham ups his workrate to somethin I haven't seen from him before, wearing Taylor out and stopping him, I see this as a wide UD for Taylor, which in Germany, well, we all know what that can mean in Germany.
I'm really not sold on Abraham just yet. If someone can tell me who he has fought or show me a really impressive win, aside from a Miranda who was completely schooled by Andre Ward maybe i'll rethink things. Hell, if Lajuan Simon can take Abraham the distance and, although he got beat, land some good shots of his own then he's in for a long night against Taylor .

im going taylor in this one, going to be putting a wager on it as well.
dont Fuck with the chuck
The only way Abraham has ridiculous conditioning is if you mean its ridiculously bad. Its not that bad but its definitely not great, in fact its gotta be one of his biggest liabilities. He doesn't throw many punches (so I'm not sure how he presses like a bull either) and he still is huffing and puffing a lot.
Both of these guys have conditioning issues, Abraham's might be cause he had a tough time making the weight but he's kind of built like one of those guys who just never has great stamina, tightly built.
I agree with some that this is actually a decent style matchup for Jermain cause of Abraham's lack of activity. I'm still not gonna pick him though.

I have said in other super 6 threads that Jermain Taylor is an underdog. Though I don't think he wins the tournament I think I put him #3 on this list. People are putting a little too much into AA I feel and people are putting even more into Froch. I don't see either of them doing well that's just me though. The most overrated would have to be Froch where as Jermain is perhaps the most underrated.

Quite agree, Taylor is damn talented, more than what many can admit, the problem is his lack of stamina or conditioning for the top of the big leagues, knowing he wouldn't lack any at all, I would have difficulties to pick between him and Abraham in my second spot but as it goes now, I see the stamina issue as a huge problem.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
Heck, maybe I got this one wrong by what everybody else is saying. But by press I mean Arthur goes forward like a bull. Not very quick but zoned in and no reverse. I think that bodes bad for Taylor. Arthur does fight in spurts but all boxers do that. They have to they have to plan for 36 minutes. I just think Taylor is not a very good pure boxer and someone like Ward or Dirrell would match up better. But this is what makes this Super 6 so nice is that all the matchups bring strong arguments for either guy winning.
I don't disagree about Taylor but I would say AA fights in spurts more than most people. He probably still beats Taylor. I would actually love it if Jermain won, I'm not a fan of AA and even though I've never been a fan of Jermain he's willing to fight people and could use something to go right for him. Of course I don't want to be melodramatic about that, he's rich, his life isn't exactly a sob story but he could use a win.

I definitely wouldn't consider Abraham a pressure fighter. In fact I think he is at real risk of losing this fight because he won't pressure enough.
I can't see Abraham winning any of the first 5 or 6 rounds, he just won't do anything but cover up.
It all depends on how much pressure Abraham can put on Taylor late on, but my opinion is that unless Abraham can knock Taylor out he could well lose the fight.
I don't really rate Artur's chances much in this competition, to me he's the rank outsider. Never fought at the weight, never beaten a significant opponent, unless you call going life and death with Miranda a significant win.
I think and have said previously that I feel he will be the disappointment of the whole show. I wouldn't be suprised if he lost every fight, I mean seriously when has a decent non heavyweight ever come out of Europe? Us Brits have had a few but Germany and Armenia or wherever he's from, well I dont recall them ever having a world class fighter capable of beating the best in the world.
They normally prefer to go 40-0 against the type of guys that even Felix Sturm would be embarrassed to fight. Credit to him for stepping up, but he's going to struggle imo.
Taylor to win.

Thats a big statement! The favourite for the whole tournament is a Euro fighter in Kessler! The best Cruiser in the world at the moment is Polish (Adamek)You cannot accuse Tomasz of not picking tough opponents! Vic Darchinyan is not the greatest fighter ever but he has had some good wins is not scared to fight the top guys and is Armenian. Then there was Kostya who altho i try to claim as an Aussie is a Russian who could go with the best of them.
Abraham probably wont win the tournament but i dont think bein Armenian has much to do with it!!!

Yep Kessler ain't winning it either, we've already seen how he fares against the elite in Calzaghe.
Whoever wins this tournament would probably be top 3 or 4 p4p and I repeat, when has a European (not British) ever been top 3 or 4 p4p?
It just doesn't happen, maybe once every 30 years or something.
