Default Fernando Vargas back in training

    It's all in this article

Fernando Vargas Resumes Training For Possible Return - Boxing News

I can only see this ending badly. What weight does he come back at? Who could he really compete with now?

Apparently it's not about money, as he's sorted money-wise. I really hope he's just trying to get in shape. A comeback would be painful to watch

As some have joked. He will face Ricky Hatton at a catch weight of 200 lbs. I really don't see what Vargas is trying to accomplish. Maybe just the battle of the bulge hopefully.

I am a fan of Vargas he was a talented fighter in his day, the best I have ever seen with so little professional fight but that was a long time ago. If he is doing it to stay healthy fair enough but not professionally he will get beat up. Perhaps a re-match with Campus.

IF he is actually thinking of stepping back in the ring hopefully it will be against someone really soft and it is not for the money but to get the Boxing bug under control that all former fighter have.

Like when Tommy Hearns takes a fight at CW back in 2006, it was in no way to start a comeback just to see if he can still do it against a guy that cant hurt him.

Anything more on the behalf of Vargas would be painful to watch

You hear people say it again and again. Boxing is addictive and you cannot just retire cold turkey.

I fear that if Feroz comes back, it'll be at a high price on the first fight back.

He should stay retired and focus on promotions.

I understand his eagerness to get back to the ring and I understand as well why he's wrong and shouldn't, he's millionaire, has a decent record, he just can injure himself to a bad level or run to ruins by doing so. It seems that the hardest thing in Boxing ain't to become a boxer or a world champion but to know when to stop.

Saw him at the Marquez/Mayweather fight a few feet away from me. He didn't look fat but not as ripped and cut as he was when he faced ODLH either.

It will do him good to shed those extra pounds either way.

Vargas is a warrior, but there really isn't much of a place in the sport for him anymore.

And no matter what they say, it's usually about the money.

Well Vargas seems to have a different fight on his plate right now.

I never would've called Vargas ripped or cut.

In honesty I would never have even referred to him as lean

Its a shame how his career ended up, because he was a REALLY good fighter back in his day. But hiis time is gone, theres very little chance of him redeeming himself at this juncture.
