I don't care about hating fighters, Miles does have a certain flair with his hate, but wanting a guy to go up and apologize for winning a fight but maybe having iffy scores is insane.

Casamayor clearly lost. Nobody argues that. I barely know who Fury is.

Froch is going to lose LOL. Well maybe. Dumb shit talked about how silly Dirrell is to call himself "Son of God" when he doesn't even call himself that, its Andre Ward ffs.

Paulie is not a puncher so any rematch would likely go 12 rounds again and, if in the same state, under the same conditions, Paulie just wouldn't get the nod.

Of course Paulie will be upset, its his livelihood and career, man it would eat me up if I beat someone in my chosen sport and got robbed.

It's the thing I hate about boxing more than anything else, so many weekends are ruined for me because of it.

John Mcdermott, an unfashionable fat domestic heavyweight in the UK has been completely jobbed twice now against Danny Williams and Tyson Fury. At least the board ordered rematches in both cases, but it shouldn't be necessary. The right man should get the win in the first place, how can you not feel for someone like McDermott who should have two great W's on his record against the Tyson conqueror Williams, and the super hype job Tyson Fury?

I hope Tyson and Juan both get destroyed in their next fights because to me an honourable man should admit when they have been beat. Fighters may not be responsible for the decisions but they never have any integrity after a fight either, always insisting they won when virtually the entire watching world disagrees.
PLENTY of people thought Diaz won. I may not be one of them, but that doesn't change the fact that there was a large minority who felt that Diaz took it & scoring just 2 rounds the other way I would have had him winning. I'm guessing that those who weren't indignant at the result didn't feel the same need to go to every boxing website & declare their disgust in the same way some of those who felt Paulie won did.
I've not seen a poll online where Diaz has got more than 20% of voter support, the overwhelming majority were in favour of a Malignaggi won.

But it's not just about the decision, it's the nature of it. Had Diaz edged a razor close decision then it would have been palatable but 118-110, please, that just demonstrates that Paulie had already lost the fight before he stepped into the ring.

He was chosen as a non puncher, was made to come in under weight to take away any edge he might have, and then it had already been predecided that Diaz would win the decision. Paulie could have put him down twice and he still would have lost on the cards.

It IS a robbery, it's corruption and no wonder Malignaggi is pissed. They did it here with McDermott too, he completely exposed TysonFury and then went on to lose a wide wide decision where the ref gave all but two rounds to Fury. At least the British board of control have ordered an immediate rematch but honestly this sport fucking sucks at times.

It's probably the same in most sports. We saw in Formula 1 how Renault cheated last year in Singapore by asking Piquet to crash his car into the barrier to bring out the safety car to secure an Alonso win.

You guys are deluding yourselves if you don't think that kind of thing goes on in boxing.

There was simply no way Juan was losing this fight unless by KO, and they handpicked a notorious non puncher to ensure that wouldn't happen, even forcing to fight at catchweight to take away any chance.

Sorry but all I can say is fuck Juan Diaz, fuck GBP and fuck the corrrupt judges who had their pockets lined for that fight.

Diaz is going nowhere anywhere as soon as he steps up he gets the shit kicked out of him and it will be sweet.
Will rep you when I can because I like a lot of what you are saying here. Glad to see another person calling it a robbery too as I seem to be in the minority on this thread in feeling that way about this fight.

It's obvious that most people do actually think Malignaggi won. Any fighter with integrity would accept this and try to set the record straight, but not the little blubbery seal. He knows he is limited and on the wane and is looking to cash out now having lost to two old men and having struggled big time with powderpuff.

"Marquez, please fight me again. Hatton please stop drinking beer and please, please, please give me a payday...". It just seems a bit desperate and I can see both fighters busting up Diaz something rotten. Meanwhile the guy who won more of the rounds against Diaz is high and dry and not even on the radar for a rematch. It says everything about Diaz and where his honesty and heart lie to me.

Paulie was quite right to call out the judges after the fight too. It gets that judges name out there, so more can be aware. If boxing had any dignity faulty judges would be investigated and booted for repeatedly scoring fights waywardly. Boxing is full of shit and I was glad to see Paulie have his outburst, because it was the truth. It gets harder to be a boxing fan with this kind of carry on. I can see a time where as a fan, enough becomes enough.

To be fair, my dislike of Khan apprears to be dissipating as the Barrera fight appears to me evermore like some kind of distant bad dream. The same with Manny too, Hatton appears to be long gone and the wind up fans have all gathered in some other great garden of all things Pacquiao.

Otherwise, I currently dislike the blubbery seal and won't have too much good to say about Mayweather unless he fights a proper opponent. We will probably end up with Mayweather/Diaz at 144 pounds though. Nooooo!!!!!

I cannot think of any, but it would be a fantastic precedent in boxing were it to happen. I think I might have standards that make me distinct from the rest of the human race though.

What's strange though is that in MMA they have an entirely different culture.

I remember Chris Leben winning a close decision a couple years back and in the post fight interview saying he felt he was lucky to get the win and he thought his opponent deserved it, and many times fighters will pay tribute to their losing opponent and say they were unlucky not to get the decision and that the fight could have gone either way.

The ref's are more honest too with Herb Dean recently admitting he made a mistake in stopping a fight to early.

There's sportsmanship in snooker too, with on several occasions a player being know to declare a foul on himself if he accidently touched a ball whilst setting up a shot even though the referee has missed it.

Some sports simply have more integrity than others. Boxing, like football (soccer) just has very little for the most part.

I had it 115-113 Malignaggi, how about you?
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Interesting to see MMA having more honesty within it's ranks. I have never watched MMA properly and always thought of it as an ugly sport with men rolling around on the floor. But if those men have moral backbone then I might need to start paying more attention. It gets boring watching a sport where the top level fighters earn so much money and give so little back to the fans in terms of a basic level respect. The other guy got robbed, well at least say you think so too! Don't bullshit and just say he was "real slick" 200 times.

Boxing seems overrun with dastardly hyena's all out for what they can get. Promoters, judges and the fighters too. Honesty is sorely lacking. There are good guys somewhere in the midst but they are overrun and swarmed by the multitudes who lack these basic character attributes.

LOL. Sorry for including Pac in this thread. I could not start a thread about it so with the spur of the moment I just have to ask about it.

David Diaz was a reasonable fight for Pac as he was the man who beat Erik Morales though I personally see that fight as a robbery on Erik's legacy.

Another question that has been in my mind is, how long would Juan last against Pac.

Regarding my question on Hatton vs Diaz, I'm wondering how would Diaz fare against Hatton given that Hatton handled Malignaggi easily.Of course styles make fight but given HAtton and Diaz' ability, styles won't really be a big factor here.

Hatton is pretty much shot, so i'd actually favor Diaz to pull a decision, unless it's in Manchester, and using your logic, Manny shouldn't want any of Mayweather seeing how bad he struggled with Marquez and how easily Floyd played with him

There you go again. It's like vice-versa. MAyweather won't want Pac considering how PAc demolished HAtton easily and how MAyweather struggled with HAtton's style in the earlier rounds. This is boxing and anything can happen here considering that Pac and Mayweather are the best in boxing.

Floyd koed MArquez only once while Pac have done it thrice in their first fight. Clearly, the fight can be argued as a matter of style. Pac vs Mayweather is not comparable to Marquez vs Mayweather because Pac is definitely faster and stronger than MArquez.

If there's someone who has the highest chance right now of knocking Mayweather, it's definitely Pac, IMO.

Pac's fight against Cotto will be a test of his ability against Mayweather. If he KO's Cotto, then there is no doubt in my mind that he would be able to KO Mayweather. If he KOs Cotto under 6 rounds as predicted by Roach, Mayweather will go down under 9 unless he will run and run around Pac like what Barrera did in his second fight against Pac. By that time, MAyweather's courage will be tested and this is the reason why this fight is very exciting.

By that time, MAyweather's courage will be tested and this is the reason why this fight is very exciting.
no sorry Mayweather nor Pacquiao Ko'd Marquez, they knocked him down, big difference, learn son, learn
