I get sick of people talking this shit about PBF fighting smaller guys. The man started at 130 and has moved up in weight. So at some point PBF was the smaller guy in the ring. People act like he'd fought little guys his whole career. It's not even like he fought a bum little guy. He fought JMM who was considered by many to be atleast top 5 P4P. People act like he started his carear at 154. I remember before the Gatti fight(RIP) everyone was talking that shit about PBF wasn't going to be able to stand up to a true 140 pounder. Now all of a sudden PBF is a natural junior Middle weight. Before he fought Castilo DLH and Hatton people said that PBF was too small and or wouldn't be able to handle the pressure these fighters would put on him. Now all of a sudden people act like PBF is some gaint fighting midgets.

Also how come a fighter is good until PBF beats them. Soon as PBF beat a guy people say the fighter is shot. Wasn't noboby saying JMM was shot before he got beat by PBF

The funniest part of the whole situation is people say PBF should fight a natural welter weight like cotto or PAC. When the fuck did PAC become natural welter weight? Now when PBF beats PAC then the haters will say that PBF beat another little guy.

If your gonna hate on a guy atleast be consitant.
To your first point, Cotto has fought pretty much every other top welterweight in the division: Shane, Margarito, Clottey, Quintana etc. He gets a pass if he wants to fight the p4p #2 fighter in the world for a lot of money and he happens to be smaller.

PBF had a great career before he began fighting above 140, anyone who disputes that is wrong. Since he has fought above 140, it hasn't been exceptional. Shane, Cotto, and Margarito have done more at welterweight than Floyd has in the same amount of time.

It's not like the criticism on Floyd is new. There has been the same criticism since before the DLF fight.

PBF is great, of course. Hopefully, he challenges himself and fights Cotto, Mosley, and Pwill. No one will say jack.
Bingo, this should've been the original reply.

retired after Hatton claiming nothing he could do to convince the doubters, and his supporters view was always that he'd return after one of the main welters would seperate themself from the rest, as it would have been 'unfair' on him to face all Pwill, Shane, Cotto, Marg. Marg gets a hugely impressive win against Cotto (at the time there was no doubts) and Floyd stayed schtum, Shane does the incredible and slays the boogeyman, yet still no word, yet JMM KO's an already exposed lightweight and suddenlt there's a worthy contender for his WELTERWEIGHT title. WTF!!!

JMM was rightly rated high in p4p as he had a great Featherweight career, and the wins against Casa and Diaz consolidated it as a career Featherweight who could still make 125 well into his 30s had stepped up an extra division again, NOT because those guys were elite themselves. Because (brace yourselves Floyd fans) traditionally there have been weight divisions for a reason, and beating a guy naturally heavier than you would gain extra kudos. Joey Maxim never took SRR's postition as top dog when he beat him, the kudos dont work when you beat the smaller man.

Of course my whining will be null and void if JMM turns out to be just a tune up, and he faces someone like Shane or winner Cotto Pac next, but I ain't holding my breath.

P.S., Floyd ain't no longer a small welter, if you can't make an ounce under 146 then there is no other weight class for you.
