The issue here isn't jailtime, it's the fact that he just had to pull out of a fight because of visa issues stemming from a DUI in the states and now he has a felony charge in Venezuela to his record, this is probably the end of Edwin Valero making money in the US imo.

Let's see, he gets a subdural hemotoma from speeding on a motorcycle and then gets a DUI, very smart. He shows VERY questionable judgement with his tattoo. No, not because it's of Hugo Chavez (you can vaguely make out his fat head), but because he got it done with watercolor, while drunk, hitting his family and simultaneously speeding on a mclotorcycle. That hasn't yet been confirmed but I'm working on it. He pulls out of his Latin Fury fight for very questionable reasons and now this. All the while he has blamed this on his politics and tattoo, I don't buy it.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he just isn't that smart. Exciting fighter but thereis a lot more to being a professinal athlete then just windmilling opponents down in the ring.

I agree with the bulk of that. Valero seems to be a bit of a loose cannon and a bit Mr Thicky.

What kind of man gets arrested for hitting anyone? Let alone your own sister and mother?

I don't even think he is a very good fighter. Even I can go kamikaze on empty tins of soup. Stick him in with someone good and just be done with him.
