I wonder if Kanye West will insist that Beyonce or himself deserved the Nobel Peace Prize and interrupt Obama's acceptance speech?

I think maybe herein lied the motivation. Rather than an award for outstanding services rendered he has has been given an award thay that basically says ' This is what we expect from you....'.

He's now been lifted up as a paragon of peace and virtue and has been in told in no uncertain terms what the world expects from him.

It seems that by awarding him for things he has not yet done, they are very much trying to 'direct' him towards the kind of political and international policies that they themselves wish him to undertake.

It's all very self serving imo, and Barak must surely now feel under some pressure of obligation to perform.....

That's basically what he said this morning, that he didn't deserve it, and didn't deserve to put on level with former winners. Of course Obama didn't run for this, he didn't expect this, he didn't lobby for this and he didn't vote for this.

....we're talking about the same prize Martin Luther King Jr. won...I think it is an OUTRAGE Obama got this award, and for nothing more than "having good intentions"....are you fucking kidding me?!?!?! That's the only thing that Bush's Presidency had "good intentions"...."spread democracy"...surely it hasn't been a success but what happens when Obama fails?.....or maybe he's "too important to fail"

I really don't care who they vote for the Nobel Peace Prize, seriously it's a non-issue. If it was someone besides Obama you wouldn't even notice. Even if it was a leader of a country at war.

It's a PEACE Prize OumaFan...we're at War those are opposites, they are mutually exclusive, one cannot be at war AND at peace at the same time.
