You're welcome. Hopefully they will keep putting them on their website, so that I can keep posting them for you.
I watched this yesterday, and I thought it was well done. I liked seeing what was going on during the discussions, although I'm sure there was a lot more heated talks going on than what they showed us. That's the stuff I really would have liked to have seen.
I wonder if they are going to change the fact that Andre Ward has all his fights in the States. The Showtime guy was not too happy with Andre for announcing that after his fight.
I wonder who the leak was?![]()
Great show and a good taster for the fights. Interesting to see how the promoters get on over the coming months - gonna be some fireworks there.![]()
The way I understand it Kessler is going to fight here in the fall on Andre's home turf and then he's fighting Taylor in the south in Taylor's home territory. He was tentatively scheduled to face Dirrell next fall (I don't know where) but Dirrell's people didn't want to commit to 3 fights without seeing how the first 2 go. So it's not like he's fighting 2 fights at home, Taylor is just as big of a name in the south (or at least was) as Ward is here in the Bay.
Yes. Why does a German promoter have a southern English accent? Did he go to school in England?
The most interesting thing on the show -- when the promoters were horse trading over matchups/home advantage etc. and Jermain Taylor's promoter being told by Taylor (or his manager if he has one) to "maximise the money" in his first fight. I think Taylor knows he's on the slide and he's just making as much as he can, don't believe all the stuff about him not training right for previous fights either. He's got a stamina problem and it's only going to get worse.
