Holy shit , 25 to 1 odds against a undefeated fighter?
Watching the tape, I would have to say it was definately a perfect shot, looked like to the jaw. Linares was off balance moving backwards, and by the way he got up stretching his jaw leaning against the ropes you could tell his equilibrium was shot. He should have taken a knee before he got rocked again. He can definately bounce back from that, it was just a lucky shot.
Whats with Golden Boy, seems like they sign a prospect and they lose. Didnt that just happen with Ortiz, was Khan GBP when he lost to Prescott?
I completely agree and I agreed with those who pointed out his struggles with Diaz. Larios gave him a good fight too but I thought given the circumstances (and Larios is no slouch) that was a really impressive (also scary) performance.
This was fcking shocking beautiful punches. He can definitely rebound shit like this happens I don't really think it's indicative of the chin anyone caught slippin like that with a guy on the hunt is going to be in trouble. He can definitely rebound and I agree with Spicoli, if his head is fine then the sooner the better.
What a shocker. Valero is heading that path.
It was a perfect shot to the temple, just as I suspected.
That was bang on the button, and you know those temple shots can really mess up everything about your balance for a long time in a fight.
Think Salgado got a good slice of luck there, will be interesting to see if a rematch transpires.
Big shocker! I think he was caught cold. He still has a lot of potential & I hope he bounces back. Another big blow to one of Golden Boys prospects!
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
What a stunner. Linares gets flattened and Lopez gets made to look ordinary by a journeyman. Two of boxing's top prospects have a bad weekend.
Here's the fight if anybody wants it.

A shocker yes, but I will not count Linares out yet. I don't know about his mental strength and if he can bounce back without being gun shy, his next 2 fights will be a good hint about it all but personally, I believe he has what it takes to climb up to the top once again.
