beating Tarver the first time took LOADS of heart So did beating Hopkins with a broken right hand(which was broken before the fight happened) beating Telasco with a fractured wrist and NOT pulling out of the third tarver fight despite a broken right hand. These are the kind of things Joe Calzaghe pulls out of fights about
What does calzaghe have to do with the argument.
Exactly. I raised that argument too.
I'm saying that Roy has gone into fights with a broken hadn or a fractured wrist..which are the kinds of things Calzaghe pulls out of fights for It's a testament to questioning Jones' heart

Even so, it took A LOT of heart for him to dig deep to beat Tarver the first time considering what he was up against.
It is just a case of how you perceive the sport. We see it as warriors fighting in battlefield so to pull out of a fight is seen as an act of cowardice. The Europeans see boxing for what it is, a sport. If you are not 100% going into a match then it is considered a dumb move risking your health. Peer Pressure is a bitch I believe Jones was pressured into taking the third fight with Tarver, clearly he wasn't in it to win the fight.
