PBF wasn't that damn hurt.

I was surprised to see Chop hurt Floyd. It was a right and Floyd did fall into the ropes and cover up for a short moment. Floyd smiled and tried to play it off. It was a great display for PBF but Corley was game.
Cotto is a much smarter fighter, mature, and careful now than when he fought Chop Chop. Cotto was fighting Chop Chop in PR and he came out swinging and with NO DEFENSE WHATSOEVER. It was as if he thought he could walk right through Chop Chop and he got caught with a temple shot, which made him lose his equilibrium.
Cotto was never that stupid again and I do not expect him to be against Manny. Let's remember that Cotto has NEVER been knocked down by a punch. Against Corley, Cotto stayed on his feet. Against Torres, Cotto was pushed down, but the referee called it a knockdown. Against Judah, Cotto was NEVER hurt as many people say, nor was he even staggered (I record all fights and have seen that one many times). Against Margarito, Cotto took a knee, more because of sheer exhaustion and not really from a specific punch that hurt him. It seems to me that Cotto has a very strong chin and is a much more careful fighter than he showed against Corley. I expect him to show these qualities against manny.
Chop hurt Cotto in the past and then Cotto got better. He learned from his mistakes. He became comfortable at Welterweight. He underestimated Margarito and took a bad beating. Hand wrapping aside, the next fight with tough man Clottey, he struggled after he knocked down a determined opponent in the first round and seemed lost even though the judges saw it as a win. He made the fight harder than it was supposed to be but can you blame him. It took courage to come back against such a tough man. If he loses to Manny, it is because he bit off more than he could chew in the luck of the draw that brought him to this title defense. I still think he should have fought a lesser opponent just before Manny. At least mentally all the cobwebs would be gone but they aren't.
I'm sorry i can't agree with you on the Cotto underestimated Margarito. Cotto boxed better than he did his whole career in that fight. The only problem was that Cotto wasn't use to fighting that pace non stop. At the time of the stoppage i had Cotto winning the fight. Cotto shut Margarito out the first 7 rounds. Margarito was comming back and even though Cotto was winning you could see that he was getting weaker and Margarito was gettin stronger. So i can't make the excuse that Cotto underestimated Margarito. If he did that than he not as smart as you guys claim he is since moving to 147. I can say that Margartito wraps played a part in the fight and that he was the bigger man having fought at 154 before but i will not say that Cotto underestimated Margarito. If Cotto had of won that fight that would be considered one of the best performances of his career.

He was hurt as much as Miguel Cotto was, but not for as long. And that is due to the fact Floyd Mayweather, has a superior defense and knows how to stay out of trouble/avoding punches, similar to Pernell Whitaker vs Roger Maywetaher.
Plus he also takes a punch better than Miguel Cotto IMO, i know Floyd Mayweather Jr hasn't been hit that often. But IMO from what i have seen he does take a punch pretty well.
Where as Miguel Cotto gets shaken up in pretty much, alot of his fights. I've never thought he's had a good chin, even when he moved up. I think he has great recovery powers, but great recovery powers doesn't mean you have a good chin.
Similar to JMM i think he's chin is somewhat shaky aswell, but he does have great recovery powers which gets him out of any trouble. Just like Miguel Cotto.
