Honestly i'm leaning for Pac on this one.... Cotto is a monster and think that in every way he should have it over Pac, but there are a few reasons I give more of a shot than I should.

He's been at that weight for a while now. Marquez coming up was always going to be weak as pi$$ against Mayweather. I think Pac having been above 140 for his last 3 fights (well 140 for hatton), he'd be wearing that weight much better now..

His speed is going to split Cotto.. Cotto has good footwork and is going to take a pounding, and his defence will certainly be a damn shite better than DLH and Hatton put together, but cotto isn't exactly unhittable...

My biggest influence in looking at the potential of how the fight could play out from a certain angle is Cotto/Judah... Cotto has certainly improved since that fight, but many many times during that fight, you could feel that Judah could have turned the tide if he had the heart and head for it... And I think even between 140 and 147, Pac is more dangerous than Judah...

I could be proved entirely wrong by Cotto being an unshakable moster on the night, but I feel Pac is just going to make to many punches count, and is going to think his way to the victory as well through Roach's coaching... Pac's dangerous left and keeping away from too much of Cotto's attack will have him winning...

Anyway, i'll make that my official prediction....

It's a fight that you hate to see someone losing,,,, but I think if Cotto loses it'll be heartbreaking for him....

I'm just going to enjoy this fight no matter who wins... Good on the two guys for making it.. Not an easy fight for either of them..

I really feel that Cotto needs to fight a controlled fight. No question Pac is faster and has better stamina...but Manny, for all of his improvements, fights one way...he jumps in with flurries. So you certainly can expose him...but you have to have the right style and game plan. Marquez certainly was not as fast as manny...but he was able to counter him with his timing. Cotto needs to be patient and draw Pac in...use his great jab and skill to set Pac up. He cannot waste energy and make himself look foolish by trying to run Pac over. Cotto has the skill to implement the right strategy...we shall see if he will.

Have done a 180 on this one. From thinking Pac via TKO late,on cuts with speed and volume being key to Cotto catching Pac coming in repeatedly.....in between his predictable attack.Pac has faced little to no fire coming his was for some 19,20 rounds over last 3.Think he'll get over confident and hit like he's never been hit before, forced to back and could fall apart down the stretch.Cotto tko 10

The Pacman is one fantastic fighter, no doubt about that. Attitude, technique, heart and that blinding speed.

I can't help thinking that his team have chosen his last opponents very well indeed ...... Hatton was a game but limited brawler who loses his head in the biggest fights ...... de la Hoya was not de la Hoya anymore for example.

Cotto was being touted as the next best thing in boxing not so long ago, before he got cheated by Margarito.

I can really see Cotto being too big naturally for Pac, Miguel is a smart boxer when he wants to be and if he gets through the first 5 rounds - because he can be a bit vulnerable early on - I can see him wearing Pac down.

I hope Cotto wins, I like Pac but feel that this is a ridge too far. If I was Cotto I would come in at 147lb and forget Roach and crush Pac. Keep the tile and pay the little fine and take on Mayweather.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

So would I but Roach looks after Pac better than Oscar etc looked after Marquez. He wouldnt stand for that whereas Marquez wasnt in a position to do anything about it. It was all swept under the carpet. Imagine the uproar if Cotto came in even slightly over weight.

I think making the catweight will affect his performance, also added to his troubles is the wear and tear from his wars with Margarito and Clottey. He isnt the fighter he was but he will still be Pacs biggest test as he isnt as washed up as the guys Pacs been fighting.
