Exposing Margarito

From the evidence i've seen and heard I would have to say Marg cheated against Cotto.

Kind of reminds me of the Assault in the ring Video by HBO. Except not such a devastating ending!

I am not so sure if he cheated against Cotto. How can we explain Margarito walking forward like a tank against a swarm of mosquitoes (Cotto's punches)? Did he put plaster on his face? Also, if Margarito was cheating that night, it would be a bit dumb of him to be parading his fists up high in victory walking around the ring, in front of all cameras, during the interviews after the fight, etc. Those kind of things make me wonder if he cheated or not.

Richardson was the one who spotted something odd, when the commissioner who was also standing right there hadn't noticed anything. Its very possible that we may not have been able see anything once the wraps were in place.

End of the day I hope he never fights again, he doesn't deserve to make another cent of the sport he disrespected

An easy way around that problem would be to make sure an official was in attendance supervising the wrapping of the hands and checking the gloves etc....

They just supervise they don't really inspect the wraps. I'm no handwrap expert but I really doubt the inspector would have any reason to call over and feel the knucklepad out to make sure everything is legit.

Did you see the Cotto Fight, Cottos Nose was smashed from a clash of heads this affected Cottos stamina Margarito then walked through 6 rounds of pounding before Cotto slowed enough for Margarito to catch him

I saw no proof in that fight that hand-wraps would have made and difference in that fight

That is the best point made here. Cotto young undefeated fighter. Mosley old and had'nt look very spectacular in his last few fights.

He cheated . Nasseem Richardson is awesome and I think the best trainer out there and this helps proove it.

Good point. But even if that was the case, how can we explain the fact that Cotto's best punches didn't do a thing to Margarito at all? I am not sure if it is possible to inject plaster on someone's face.

He probably did have loaded wraps... we can (and have) speculate as much and for as long as we want to but only 1-2 people will ever know for certain.

Cotto's fans are just going to have to accept the outcome and move on.
