Who exactly has floyd shyed away from?
His last 3fights have all been against world champions and great fighters.
He took the oscar fight at 154 when he didnt need to. Chose to fight hatton over cotto and could quite easily of opted to make his return against someone he could retune his skills against ala:clottey, cintron etc
one dangerous horrible bloke
Floyd fought and beat Oscar which was all well and good. Oscar was on the slide anyway though. Hopkins stopped him and Sturm beat him before that anyway. The cracks were right there and Mayweather took it. Hatton is not a WW and never will be one (though he gave it his best shot) and Marquez was way beyond anything he should ever fight at again. It was an outrageous fight to make all in all. And going beyond that is where the true cherry picking lies. Mayweather fought nobody at 140 and took his pick at WW too.
I want to see him step up and fight someone in his own weight class AND who is regarded as a serious P4P fighter. No smaller men and no Oscar chasing with the tongue wagging like a desperate dog.
That means Cotto, Mosley or Williams for me. Tough challenges with no extra added bullshit.

I never seen Floyd sooo excited before like in that interview , those guys they really talked shit , they just tried give some Sazon to the interview that's all !!!!!!! , Fooling around![]()
Of course he took the Oscar fight. There's not a boxer on the planet that wouldn't take an Oscar fight. People tend to not shy away from vaults of cash being dropped on their front porch. If by "didn't need to" you mean the weight well Oscar has the leverage in any negotiations, if Floyd wanted the fight and of course he did it was going to be at 154. He would have fought him at minimumweight, he would have signed the contract and googled efficient vomiting techniques. The the only reason Oscar fought Pac at 147 I assume is it would have liked silly otherwise, dude was too small.
