I don't think Floyd or Manny have taken on really HUGE fights...Manny's had more tough fights than Floyd but there are also a lot of fights where you are thinking "where's the challenge in this?". Right now Pacquiao having titles in 7 weight classes moves him up a bunch...I wonder if Floyd will let that stand? Could Floyd fight at 160? It would be nice to see.

If you look at Ray Robinson his record was filled with fighters that are ALL-TIME GREATS, same with Ray Leonard, and Roberto Duran. And Willie Pep may not have had the greatest opponents but to win as many fights as he did is amazing in itself. Hank Armstrong also deserves a mention.

They can increase their P4P status but they won't be #1 All-Time, that is made more difficult now on account of numerous belts and promoters and everything else....from a business standpoint boxing is more complicated to do these days

Thats why I think these two are as good as you are going to get in modern boxing. Tactical fight picking and bags of money involved.

Back in the day it was a matter of beating anyone and eveyone, just to prove you were number one. Thats why they fought so many tough fights and thats why people like Ali are considered number one ever, despite having losses on their record, it was because they fought many tough fights.

Now a days, a single loss can ruin your career.

Of course they are tops in the sport right now, but for ALL-TIME you really have to look at just how great those old fighters were.

I think Pernell Whitaker would of been top 10 of all time, had he not got cheated in decision's. I thought he only lost to Felix Trinidad, and that was when he was years past his prime while also having drug problems.

Well from what i've seen SRR would of beaten Manny Pacquiao, he was 5'11 fast as hell with great stamina, amazing chin, great footwork. The problem is i haven't seen a whole heap of his footage. And supposedly he was a god at Welterweight but theres no footage, only little clips. So we'll never truly know how good he was.
