Williams is just looking for his biggest pay day.
Williams is just looking for his biggest pay day.
Williams needs to focus on Martinez, but like Miguel Cotto, Paul Williams is willing to fight ANYBODY at ANY WEIGHT at ANY TIME!
lol screw paul williams, if i could find my Violin i'd play it for him. It's so small i just can't find it right now....
I read something on Paul Williams before, it was saying how he has to run 10 miles every day to make weight, not in training camp every day... he isn't a WW but he tried to stay there for so long just so he has such a size advantage, and when he is there he is a borring ass fighter. Why would anyone at WW want ot fight him? he doesn't draw crowds or big PPV numbers.
This idoit should stop bitching, go up to MW or SMW where he should be already and he will get plenty of fights without question.
I'm not saying he shouldn't stay in a higher weight as he's not a natural WW anymore. I'm just saying i don't blame him for trying to earn a huge payday by coming down again. No disrespect to Martinez, but financially its a no-brainer between him and Pac. What would you want to do in his situation, come down to fight smaller guys for more money, or fight guys closer to your own size for less money? Of course guys at WW don't want to fight him, the money that will be on offer wouldn't justify the risk in fighting someone so much bigger. I agree he should stay at MW or go to SMW, but i don't blame him for trying to get a fight at WW with someone that would earn him a lot of money
McGirt recalling the minute break between the 9th round of the Ward fight "He said, 'Help me stand up and I'll finish the fight.'"
I want to fight Manny too. Do you think they'll give me a shot?
I can see the fight poster now... with a picture of Pacquiao staring down Paul Williams' belly button.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Strange one to call in many ways. Whats pac about 5'7? Not sure, anyway Paul is about 6'2 I think, and would have way longer reach than Pac, he has power and is no slouch although speed clearly goes to Pac.
I think I would go Williams in this but only if he could make 147 comfortably without killing himself, not so sure he could now he has been up and preparing for Pavlik!
There's a reason why PWill was boycotted out of the 147 division. Nobody of note wants that problem. This made for a nice article but Pac's team aren't any dumber than the rest of the top welterweights. Sorry Paul but the shafting will continue.
