I'm going with Mayweather by UD or possibly late stoppage if Pac gets frustrated and gets sloppy with his shots

To me it isn't even a question. Mayweather by healthy decision. Pacquiao will have his moments but by the 9th or 10th round, Mayweather will have a good lead in the cards & it'll just be Mayweather pot shotting a chasing Pacquiao.

Pacquiao wins by beating people up. I don't think he'll be able to beat up Mayweather in the way he needs to. Mayweather outboxes his opponents & we've seen Pacquiao outboxed by lesser boxers before.

yeah i would agree but pac has roach, he is undeniably the best trainer out there, look how oscar did against mayweather, that was down to roach, that man nos how too disect an opponent, and he has the perfect pupil in pac to implement that gameplan on maywaether. i would put my money on mayweather yes. cause his style is the best style too beat pac, but with pac, roach can give pac the style too beat mayweather. and pac can carry that gameplan and bring it too fruition cause of his athletic abiltity

By the time Roach Got Oscar, oscar was old enough to be his trainer. Not to mention Floyd Sr had Oscar before that fight. And Oscar looked better because he didn't have to starve himself to death.

Im saying between Roger mayweather and Roach, Roach isn't the better of the two.

Does he, though? Pac wasn't paying attention to Freddie Roach when he stood and took Cotto's shots, resulting in him busting his ear and looking as if he'd been slapped around the face with a bag of bricks. And Mayweather is a different animal. If Manny makes a mistake, or strays from the plan laid out for him by Roach, Floyd will exploit it. Pac would have to fight the perfect fight just to have a chance of beating Mayweather, and I can't see that happening. He's too inclined to go to war, which just doesn't work against Mayweather. If you want to beat him you have to be as methodical as he is and treat the fight like a game of chess - can Pac do that for 12 rounds? I don't see it, though he certainly has the tools [speed, athleticism, power, footwork] to trouble Floyd IF he can stick to a perfect game plan.

I agree with all of that about Mayweather making Pac pay for his mistakes. And for Pac to win, he needs to have a flawless game plan, and a flawless plan B and a flawless plan C to beat Mayweather..

But regarding ignoring Roach and standing and taking some of Cotto's shots, I don't believe that was due to slopiness or lazyness,,, he said confidently after the fight that he wanted to measure Cotto's punches and convince himself he could take them, as well as show Cotto that he could take them..

Whether that could have backfired or not, maybe, and he should really listen to Roach against Mayweather and not try anything silly.. But being confident in the ring enough to change up the gameplan in that way where he felt safe to push Cotto a little bit mentally and strengthen himself mentally, by letting Cotto land a few, I think that was a positive for him during that fight... Everyone I knew watching the fight thought Pac was crazy standing there and letting Cotto hit him, and it seemed stupid and ignorant to Roach's game plan originally.. But after hearing that it was a rational deliberate decision after the fight and not just total loss of control over the game plan, I think that's fine and not a weakness persay for Floyd to exploit..

I never said it was due to sloppiness or laziness, or even implied it: the point I was making is that he did not follow the game plan Roach set up for him, and as a result he got pretty badly hurt [not enough to stop him fighting, but breaking your ear drum is still not desirable]. Now, if he makes mistakes like that against Floyd he probably won't get hurt even as much as he did against Cotto, but he will lose that round on points, and this is what I mean about perfection. He has to be able to execute a very clever game plan for 12 rounds, and if he can't do that, he will lose on points. I know Manny listens to Roach a lot of the time, but when he doesn't he gets himself in trouble. I'm thinking of the first fight with Marquez in particular, where Marquez adapted after the first round onslaught and it took a while for Manny to really listen to the advice Roach was giving him in the corner and start trying to push Marquez back. If he doesn't listen to Roach's advice immediately against Mayweather, he'll bleed rounds, because you can be sure PBF will change tactics if and when the need arises, and that change will be pretty much instantaneous.
