I also rate Tarver as a pundit very good and I think he made a valid point, I think Kessler under estimated Ward a great deal, I dont think he expected that at all. Would it of made a difference no but I still think Kessler thought he wouls show up and beat the less experienced guy.

An I hope we wont hear a lot of excurses from Kessler this time, it was just not his night.

I dont see Kessler win a rematch either, since he dont seem to have learn from the Calzaghe fight I doubt he will be able to do it this time either.
Unfortunately, that's all I heard in his post-fight interview.

I didnt see it the live steam I used cut it off at the point, glad I didn´t´pay 100$ for the event

Did you see the same fight man? when Kessler went forward he got hugged, whenever he caught that Hopkins clone he got hugged again. I ain't buying this shit, the fight was a disgrace
Are you serious kel? how often was it that Kessler was making an honest attempt to cut off the ring on Ward? I'd say after the second round he gave up. Ward eventually just started standing in front of him, and he still beat him.

I said he was getting hugged everytime he got near or Ward missed, I said sweet fuck all about him cutting off the ring.

I've got no problem with the holding or the headbutts. They're just excuses. Kessler lost and Ward is a good fighter. Ward vs. Abraham is the fight I most want to see now in this thing. Kessler sounded like he was thinking about retiring in his interview.

post fight interview was along the lines of

he held me, the ref didnt stop him from holding me, he headbutted me on purpose, ref was a hometown ref, he called him something like 'home judge-referee'

I thought I heard similar undertones in his interview, but I wasn't really paying all that much attention. He was talking about needing to reassess things etc. and didn't seem to have much to say about the coming fight with Froch.

Not the moon my friend Denmark , anyway in the Danish forum the comments are:

Kessler look burnt out, Dirrel would give him even bigger problems. His corner sucked, kept asking him if he wanted to quit instead of motivating him. Kessler is no longer a favorite.

Pretty rought night for us Kessler fans lets se what he is made of......

i didnt get the impression that he was thinking of retiring from the interview, it sounded like he was convinced he didnt deserve to lose

tho i was thinking around the 8th rd that kessler may want to retire after the fight, it didnt seem like he realized that he was outclassed

If he doesn't completely go to pieces after this he'll have the same speed advantage over Froch that Ward had over him tonight. He can still beat Froch easily. He'd probably wear Jermain Taylor down too. But he might be finished mentally after tonight, maybe Froch beats him now.

I see where you are coming from. It was not an enjoyable fight to watch and was full of the most blatant types of spoiling possible. It made me laugh when Ward said "I'm not a dirty fighter". Sorry, young chap but you are! In fact you are a very dirty fighter and not very subtle either.

The referee was far too leniant and should have cut it all out much sooner. By the time he started taking any notice Kessler had been butted yet again and been bear hugged for about the 100th time.

It's a shame so many of these super six fights appear to be allowing fighters to dive in waist first and hold on to the area just above the opponents groin or else just dive on to the floor in an effort not to be hit. There needs to be more action taken against fighters who spoil the flow of fights by holding or butting excessively.

Ward did alright, but I can't help but feel Kessler didn't do all his homework. The commentators mentioned that he used no southpaw sparring partners at all. That is a big NO NO right there. Hopefully Kessler can come back and show us what he is able to do, because he just wasn't quite there today.

I've still got Kessler by stoppage over Froch but we'll see, its impossible to be as certain about it after tonight but its a much much better style for him.

Just pissed off I stopped up another 4 hours to see it and it was a shit fight. Ward won the fight, it was just me and my high hopes for a good fight that left me unsatisfied with his spoiling bullshit tactics and a shit ref.

    Real let down
