I agree that Mayweather has a wider variety of punches but I don't understand how someone can argue that he is a better combination puncher. In my opinion he is a potshotter who only begins to put together combos in the later rounds as a result of earlier strategic feints and single punches. It is only after he has controlled the range, the pace the fight is fought and timed his opponents that he begins to open up and even then they are usually 2 punch combinations. A good example of this is how he began landing left jab to the solar plexus, straight right combos against De la Hoya in the "championshop rounds". He had feinted left jabs to the head then landed left jabs to the body in the earlier rounds. Later on he disturbed De la Hoya's timing by leaving his left glove in his face before jabbing the body and landing straight rights. I don't remember him landing the combos that Pacquiao did against Hatton or De la Hoya (yes I know he was weight drained) and I don't see him doing it against Cotto. Technically Mayweather could but his lack of power and mentality make it more intelligent for him to potshot. I also don't understand how he can have the same stamina as Pacquiao. Sure we've never seen him tired but when has Pacquiao faded? Who has the higher workrate?
