i dont understand why there is such an issue about splitting. of course 50/50 makes sense!

If not why dont they do 60/40 in favour of the winner, (floyd should like this as he says it will be an easy fight), and even 70/30 for the winner if by knockout.

Anyway they decide it will make both men a lot of money. If the fight does not happen because either fighter refuses to budge from over 50pct, then it would degrade either of their legacy completely.

Floyd is no fool. He couldn't KO Marquez and Cotto didn't have enough behind his punch, what would make Floyd possibly think he'd have a chance to KO Manny? Let's say the fight purse is worth $30 Million. A 60/40 split is $18/$12. $6 Million in difference. The bigger the purse the wider the difference in earnings. At 40 it's 24/16, At 50 its 30/20. If it breaks records, it's a lot of Fukn money.

I actually like Manny to fight Nate Campbell but I don't think Nate deserves a fight with Manny he is NOT WORTH IT.

I can see both fighters retire after this fight as there would be nothing bigger.

That would make sense but how many fighters do you know that have gone out on top?

    Not many.

They will both fight on for different reasons.

    Floyd for the money.

Manny coz he loves to fight and loves being the idol of his country men.

True but nothing would be bigger than this fight. It will be the last boxing fight ever for some fans.

They've still got Donaire. He'll be getting a big popularity boost if Manny does retire.
