Haye has a reach advantage and Hopkins is just about the perfect height for him.

The only thing predictable about Haye is, win or lose, everyone he fights gets hurt.
Hopkins actually weighed around 185 on the night against Pavlik and was probably higher than that against Calzaghe.

Obviously moving up in weight may affect Hopkins speed but that isn't certain, Hopkins still may keep his speed at heavy.

Hopkins doesn't constantly hold when the fight is at his pace. Look at the Pavlik fight.

Against Haye, the fight would be at HIS pace being as Haye doesn't throw alot of punches.

Everyone Haye has fought hasn't had Hopkins boxing brain and defense.

Hopkins wouldn't be interested in Haye if he knew he couldn't beat him, Hopkins has seen the weaknesses.

Haye's power is a huge huge factor though, If Hopkins can deal with it though, Haye is screwed.
185? Exactly! He's giving away a natural 30lb. Hopkins would never be safe.

Does Hopkins know exactly what the extra weight would do to his performance? NO. Is Hopkins a smart guy? Yes. Does he NEED this fight? NO!

This fight has been mentioned for after Hopkins-Roy. Haye is part of Golden Boy. Using Hopkins NAME to promote Haye in America is the idea not Hopkins actually taking the challenge

Hopkins isn't a good fight for Haye, It may promote him abit in America but resume wise it means nothing.
