I think this fight pans out just like the Vitali/Arreola fight with maybe Chris surviving the full 12.

Wow, it's amazing that people view Arreola in such a negative way now when just a while ago people were positive he would beat Wladimir Klitschko and maybe beat Vitali (very few people thought that).

I just think it's a disgrace the way he comes in to fight at 250+ and 260+...he said "I always come to fight" but hell Butterbean always "came to fight" but nobody confused him with a professional boxer, he was just a Toughman winner and Cris is getting closer to being that. Right now Cris is wasting his life by fighting out of shape....you can be fat later just look at Tyson and Duran!

I don't know, I'm sure outside the USA nobody expected anything of him. He's just another Sam Peter type imo, maybe would have troubled Wlad a few years ago but not any more. I can see him being in some entertaining fights but against either Klitschko I don't expect anything.

Having said that there isn't a fighter on the horizon that I can see even forcing Vitali into second gear. He's probably the most dominant champion in any weight class imo, as he can't fight his brother.

Any fight that Vitali is in is for me just a routine 'turn up and knock them out in a rather dull way' type event.

I can't even see him being extended, let alone close to being beat.

Arreola would catch him at some point. Thompson ain't no Vitali. No way he can avoid Arreola all night. And I don't see him having the power to hurt him

I certainly hope Arreola doesn't read this thread. You KNOW he's kinda sentimental.

How about Arreola vs Sam Peter? One of them has to go. And arreola isn't gonna get too far till he stops "being hungry" late at night. Seriously every fighter goes through that but they cut weight because of his power. You're supposed to accomplish something before you get complacent with just your power, he hasn't accomplished anything yet, he is still a prospect, and he still hasn't disciplined himself even after a loss. He should consider it this way, if he wasn't such a big puncher there's a chance Minto could have beat him. And that's not a good sign. Arreola depends on his power for too long he is gonna wind up another Tua.

Agreed Arreola may catch Thompson, still Thompson is fare more seasoned. Thompson punches his way to a victory.

I agree with Violent D (that rhymed). I wonder if they'd need to reinenforce the ring if Arreola and Solis ever fought? Talk about sloppy. I think both guys could fight at 230 and yet both weigh over 260 for their fights!

I always thought he was a limited fighter.
