I would argue Gatti (can you get your ass kicked worse than that? Not sure) and maybe Angel Manfredy but that's a bit more debatable as Chico kicked the shit out of him too.
Oh yeah, JMM. Granted there were circumstances what with the weight and wear and tear but JMM looked outclassed and no one's even come remotely close to doing that to him before.
Anyone got any other myths? I figured there would be ones added.
I don't know if Hearns' chin was as glassy as some make it out to be.
kostya tszyu was a great fighter.
Kel's hate for Floyd makes him forget that his favorite fighter (Tszyu) quit on his stool in one of his biggest fights, he QUIT, so not really in any position to call anyone else a coward at that point
Pretty much any story told by Bert Sugar.
Kosta a was a good fighter, but in truth lacks the names on his resume, his best win is against Judah. Chavez and Gonzalez were old men, most of his defences were againsts nobodys and he was beat by two fighters who have been beaton more than once, I think Kosta was a good champion a great? Not for me.
Kostya is sort of like Pryor. Lack of big names on resume and dominated the 140 pound division for a long time. I also wondered why they didn't go up to welterweight and challenged the big names.
Here's another myth. Leonard ducked Pryor and was scared of him.
The big names tended to dodge him, if a guy who is in the top 2 ever at a weight division isnt great then i dunno who is. 18 title fights in 32 fights for 2 losses, and a unified division. if that isnt knocking on the door of greatness then u cant think many guys at all are great.
