"Some people disputed the draw. Look, the guy wore so much hair gel and mousse, that the fumes were making me dizzy. And I still managed to put it on him on only 4 weeks notice. Let's clear the air."

This is just epic, as good as Jean-Claude Van Damme's philosophy.

Margarito stopped Cintron with body shots both times. Did Cintron mention why he cries when he loses.

Plaster still hurts when thrown to the body

I wouldn't be surprised if Cintron did manage to beat Cotto, purely because he's the bigger puncher & Cotto hasn't got a great chin, certainly not after Margarito did his plaster job on it anyway, although there were question marks for me before. I've also thought he was shot since that fight, if Clottey had upped it in th 7th or 8th he could well have had him out of there.

But, Cotto still has enough smarts to comfortably outbox him till about the 8th or 9th at which point Cintron's stamina goes awol (see later round of Angulo fight) & I think Cotto has him out late.

I actually don't think boxing Cintron would be Cotto's best strategy. Cintron fights straight up and doesn't move his head. He doesn't fight well on the inside and he wilts under pressure. I think Cotto could box on the outside with the goal to work to get inside of his power, apply pressure, and punish his body.

I agree with that...Cotto can box and he does it well, the only guys to beat him #1 Margarito, a cheater and #2 Manny Pacquiao a guy who has crazy speed, rhythm, and hell the jury isn't out on him being clean or dirty either. The way Cotto punishes the guys he fights, I just don't see Baby Cintron taking that.

Kermit Cintron at 154 is a solid fighter but GOD he's a prick...if only James Kirkland got to fight him.

That is about how i see it.

But I dislike them both. Just think if it was 24/7:: the show would consist of Cotto with his fat ass camp again and Cintron talking retardness the entire time. We would all be the losers.

    Indeed.

I do think that Cintron is a very gifted athlete... He just doesn't have the fortitude and heart to back it up. Boxing's a hard game. Even though he's a douche, I think he's a gifted fighter.

Cotto, on the other hand has the whole package. He can box, is a ruthless puncher/finisher and as we've seen against Margo, Pac and Clottey, he'll stay in there until he can't anymore or pound out a hard fought win through adversity.

I see Cotto stopping Cintron anywhere past the 6th round with a body shot. I think it would be highly entertaining while it lasted though.

I don't dislike Cintron as a fighter... Just as a human

Oh man I think you just made Joshua Clottey my new favourite boxer!

Cintron is an absolute bitch...I've never known someone to cry and moan so much DURING an actual fight.
