    Canada 8 - Slovakia 2

Canada plays the USA New Years eve and this should be a very good game, both teams currently 3-0.

Canadian juniors roll on against Slovakia

    Canada vs USA

This game was to see who gets the bye into the semi finals with both teams 3-0 going in.

For the first 50 minutes of this game Canada played bad. Coughing up the puck far too often, giving away 2 short-handed goals, etc. But with 10 minutes remaining the one thing we are known for is never giving up. Losing 4-2 with under 10 minutes left, the team dug deep and got focused and tied it up, sending it to overtime, which proved nothing, and then to a shootout. The shoot out proved the difference with Canada scoring all 3 times, to the USA's 2.

Final score 5-4 and Canada gets the bye.

That was an epic game. I was cheering for the U.S., but you could tell they were doomed after the 4-3 goal.

Thus said, I am positve we can go for the gold at the moment, it looks damn fine for our boys and this close victory can only make them to think about the importance of discipline.

Yes, I was. Jordan Schroeder, who plays for the U.S., was the Canucks first round pick in the 2009 draft and quite frankly I am so goddamn sick of hearing about the Canadian juniors. They're playing on home ice (again), they've won the last 5 years in a row, and I am fucking tired of having them rammed down my throat. Regardless of the fact that I won the geographic lottery when I was born I will not be cheering for the Canadian junior team. Fuck 'em. I hope they lose and I hope Pierre McGuire goes insane as a result so I never have to hear him give another 2 hour long verbal handjob to the Canadian team while calling the games.

Hehe, I don't care about the commentators, neither the number of french Canadians in the team, I am just cheering for my country on an entertaining point of view. Vancouver is damn nice, for that it is perhaps the most beautiful province of Canada but I like the idea of being quite closer to Europe, new-York and Boston, guess that I am somehow an east coast result deep inside. Thus said, I was happier when the U18 won gold as their goaler is a close relative (Louis Boileau Domingue) but I am happy to see the game our juniors are displaying this year, they just commit too many indiscipline faults but other than that, they are quite solid and so are our girls!

I would love to somehow move the province of B.C. (and our weather here in the south) to the east coast to be close to the Eastern Seaboard and Europe. I'm looking forward to potentially moving to Toronto in part because I'll be that much closer to those places.

Toronto is not a very nice city but it is definitely full of opportunities and the airport over there has so many flights that it is not very expensive to fly to Europe. Is it something that you would consider doing in the short or long time?

There is a very good chance I'll be heading to T.O. too, before CFH even. For both school and boxing, or even just school. I hear a lot of the same about the city. That it is you either love it or hate it. And that most hate it because people tend to be cold and indifferent. But that it is loaded with opportunity and things to do. So like most things, I suppose there is a trade off.

I'd be going there for grad school, so it would be for at least two years. I imagine it would probably be permanent because most of the jobs would be there.
