These guys are right its in your head.

    Put it this harsh way,

If youcould squeeze all the yellow and white lumpy ffat out of your ass and eat it all over again would you?

If your answer was "no fukkin way" Then never ever go back into a Mc Donalds, Hungry jacks or eat ice cream ever again cause thats what they are serving up to you for your dollar, ($ which is your energy exchange unit).

You are being ripped off for your well earned energy with animal waste and flavourings.

See the clever catch 22 they have going?

These, as mentioned by Adam, are good things to realize regarding your own nature. But if it helps you at all, you are far from a special flower in this area. Most anyone who goes through some form of major change of diet, exercise, living..is going to have to wrestle with these demons. And it is rarely done clean cut. I used to eat the worst kinda crap. Every night woofing down 4-5 ice cream drum sticks, eating all take out, or processed foods that were in our cupboards. 4-5 pop a day.

Went from that to an all natural food, all food groups and no pop diet. And it was HARD. Worst sorta cravings for a while. But they eventually went away. And to this day while I still slamm fast food joints and call them evil people killing money making empires etc...if you followed me secretly with a camera for a while, youd catch me sneaking into one for a greasy dbl cheese burg and a couple orders of those terrible for you fries, large soft drink too plz! ha

But overall I keep telling myself that stuff is shit and youre better off without it, and got myself believing it for the most part. You catch my drift as to what Im on about? Often when we talk such a game of avoidance, clean eating, living, aware of it or not, it isnt everyone else we are trying to convince, but often ourselves. This is helpful to know. Convince yourself you want it, if you want it. Talk the game until you find yourself playing it.

Anyway, like the others, I wish you luck.

Some very very easy tips that makes the hell of a difference and which many peoples do not realize evilness:

    1) Soda are pure evilness, just drinking a can a day can seriously mash your body within 1 or two months if you don't exercise, no matter how, avoid these at all costs, very easy, makes a major difference in the middle run.

    2) Sugar in your coffee in the morning: A friend of mine had a very very bad habit of putting 3 to 4 little sugars once per day in his coffee... it's a LOT, he lost 15 pounds in one month just by stopping pouring coffee with sugar.

    3) fried food is the brother of the mother of all evilness, try to avoid that at all cost as well, burgers, fries etc.

    4) Reduce your consumption of red meat. Normally, 2-3 times a week should be ok, if you eat a full t-bone or some huge pieces more than 2-3 times a week, it'll show up on your body for sure.

    5) candies, chocolates etc: Limit yourself, do not reward yourself after every meal with those, these little bastards are worst than cannibals.

I absolutely do not reinvent the wheel here, these are no secrets to nobody but I name these things for a reason: It is little habits like that who will make a huge negative difference in the middle run, you have no ideas. Kick these small habits, if you can do it for more than 2 consecutive months, you will see some significant improvement, the rest will be done by conducting proper physical activities

I'd say be patient and be realistic. Think more in terms of a year at a time.
Depending on your age I'd say that it takes about a month of 3 times a week to get over the you are going to throw up feeling. After that just be regular and begin to expand.
I was a bit overweight when I started training last year and I'm 42. I lost the first 20 lbs in a few months. Now I'm 6'2". I was about 208 and now I'm down to 188. The last lbs are the hardest. I didn't really think about what I was eating I just trained really hard. Now I'm doing core training and keeping a record of what I eat and starting to really track my diet. I stopped all sweets, and all late night snacking. But it takes time. As the other poster pointed out. You don't put it on in a week and it doesn't come of in a week.
It's more important to not miss or skip training. So you can get all commando and train for 4 hours but then you are done for the next couple of days because you are too sore.
