Botha Holyfield is actually a decent scrap. Noone will be running and both guys have good fighting hearts. I would certainly rather watch this fight than suffer through Vitali K fighting Kevin Johnson.
    i agree

holyfield botha is a shit fight but i would watch it over the recent wlad vitali snoozefests
So you would rather watch two guys with diminished skills bash each other's heads in than a competent HW at the top of his game dominate another HW, who, even though mediocre, is still better than Holyfield or Botha at this point in his career in a more-than-likely losing effort?
    correct

    Why? -because he can!

He needs the cash, supposodly 80,000 people are waiting to go watch it at the arena and prob 5 times that on PPV. The people obviously want it (not all, but enough to make it worthwhile)

Plus Holyfield obviously thinks he's still got it, judging by his performance against Valuev where he did as much as Haye, but didn't get the win, he clearly has enough in the tank to be mixing with the poor quality heavyweights around at the minute.

Fair play to the guy, still going after all these years, I'll be happy if I reach his age and I've got the conditioning to go 12 rounds with anyone, let alone a pro fighter, let alone a world title holder (be it mickey mouse or not)

With the benefit of hindsight,I'd bet my house on an AARP collecting Holyfield fighting sterner and doing better vs Vitali than the Kevin Johnson we saw......Holyfield vs Botha is one that your first reaction is swearing that they had already mixed it up,at least 10,12 years ago.Honestly the trinket is shit and the fighters past it...but not exactly .....hesitate to say this.....a completely crap styles match up

That's a good post. Hard to argue againsed that as a fan who thinks he should have hung them up quite some time ago.

I thought the Valuev performance was perfect to retire on.......should he have got the nod (which I think he deserved 100%) and I think he might have just considered stopping. Who knows. Good post though.

I have to disagree about this fight....While I do agree about the state of the HW division and the entertainment value of its fights these days..

Does anyone give a shit Holyfield is barely even understandable when he speaks? Does he really need another fight (Outside of money troubles)

Holyfield was the last heavy I would have thought would have to fight because he needs money. At least it is not against someone that could hurt him.
