Yeah I didn't mean it as a racist thing, straight up just sarcasm on changing my views on this whole debacle.

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I have never known Killersheep to be racist so he can use the word Flip on us.
It's a different story though with VD( who was temporarily banned before) for being a racist.
To make it safe though, I suggest that people should stop using the word Flip when referring to Filipinos because most filipinos feel that the word is demeaning. Just like the word "nigger" is derogatory for black people when said by a white man.![]()
Ikariam
That boy is definitely not a flip, he's not even asian
Just for people that don't know(nor did I)
Here are a few of the things I've found on the word.
...and again, SHEEP WAS NOT USING THE WORD FLIP AS IT'S BEING TALKED ABOUT.
Flip- Flip is a term used colloquially by Filipino American youth to refer to those of Filipino decent. According to the late journalist and activist Alex Fabros, Sr(1903-1999), the term was used among Filipinos sometime after his immigration to the US in 1920.
Flippish- A term used to refer to anything that has Filipino flavor or charictaristc.
The term "Flip" is considered derogatory, not because it is racist, but because in the Filipino colloquial vocabulary, the word "Flip" refers to a deranged or Psychotic person(i.e. he flipped out or he's flipped his wig). So in the Philippines, calling a Filipino "Flip" would be like calling someone a "Nutjob" or a "Psycho".
In early to middle 1980's young Pilipino-Americans (as opposed to Filipino-Americans) began to use the term for themselves to make known their identity as Pilipino-Americans (the use of Pilipino instead of Filipino seems to be also another identity issue). Flip thus became an empowering word of identity.

Well, I think we can then safely say that the word does not have any of the same racial connotations and history as the racial slurs it was compared to.
I guess some people just wanted to make something out of nothing. That or they really wanted to write the 'n' word on the main board![]()
Sorry mate that was me who put a match under you. I knew you didnt realize it,that made it even funnier for me.
And then whenGrich used it another way I was laughing even more and he didnt see it originally either.
You now me ,always got double meanings flying around in my head, always picking them out in every thread I can.
Ok if thats the case Im sorry.
But I honestly thought that was your own word short for your own people.
The Blacks got that word landed onto them by theor oppressors before they took it on for themselves and cleverly changed it into a good thing.
I really thought you Flips were like us Aussies.
It's a shame if your not.life is ment to be fun.
These People are just too touchy...
These people must have a tough time in real life being that a word used in the correct context gets taken out of it and turned into a racial thing, inadvertantly, in good fun...
Go picket a damn street corner or something and stop being suck pussies. Thicken your fkkin skin a bit, for Christ's sake.
Don't FLIP out cuz it's just a FLIPPIN joke.
