What sort of statement is that ? Get a grip.

His fans, or followers as you so inaptly put it, take great pride in the fact Ricky actually reached that level. To be able to follow a true British home-grown fighter to the dizzy heights of head-lining in Las Vegas is something a true fan can never be disappointed about. We can only thank the fat little fucker for giving us the amazing opportunity. Also, to lose to the two best fighters of the modern era is unfortunate, but certainly not disappointing. Hatton was hardly the favourite in either fight. His fans give him props for taking these fights, putting his unbeaten record on the line, and testing himself against the best his era had to offer. He fell short, but he gave it his all, as fans you simply cannot ask for more than that.

I also dont think Rick or his fans will have felt too disappointed with the result in his "Big Fight" with the legendary Mr Tszyu.

And rise up and beat a fighter like Marquez ? Are you kidding me ? Which version of Marquez do you think he would be up against ?
Kostya was the pinnacle for Ricky as we know. I think he got handled well considering who he fought to get KT and KT fans interested (who Kostya listened too and liked to please). When Ricky re fought Phillips for Tszyu (who wouldnt) then followed his footsteps onto Oktte Urkal another real tough boy, you could see they were paying their dues and their aim.I think they did great getting where they did the way they did.

You really think he can relearn at this stage to not to be a fighter first and to out box Marquez?

Even a declining Marquez will outbox him Im sure of it. Its a hell of a big call for a come back fight.
I'm not so sure. Hatton is still pretty quick and he will be mauling Marquez in a way that Marquez just isn't used to. Marquez won't be given the time to pick his spots. A lot of quick combinations followed by spells of grappling and mauling. Marquez struggled to get through Diaz and Hatton is better than Diaz by a fair margin and at the higher weight I see Marquez being at a serious disadvantage. I wouldn't be surprised to see Marquez being stopped and Hatton thinking it okay to continue for another fight or two.

Of course, I might be completely wrong and maybe Hatton has walked into something he just can't handle anymore. But if he has his head screwed on, I believe he can beat Marquez.

I believe Haton is still quick and has the skills to do well, and beat JMM. Take a look at the Paulie M fight, against a slickster with quick hands and good movement, he didnt really get a noteable punch landed on him. Granted Paulie is featherfisted, but he could of made Hatton look slow lumberous and laboured. He didnt, Rick out-slicked him and used his boxing brain to defeat him. No reason to think IF his head is on he cannot do that again.
