I can see Jones outboxing him, but whether Jones can keep it up for 12 good rounds without getting his chin checked too much is the issue. You struggle to imagine Hopkins ever being stopped, but Jones can go at any point in the fight. If Jones manages to go the distance, I can see him being up on points and taking the win.

It's a curious fight for me. It would be hilarious if Jones beats him at this stage of the game and after the Green debacle.

Roy can mount a big start. He can probably mount an impressive opening maybe stealing the first two three rounds.

But Hopkins has never minded throwing away some opening rounds or boxing negatively to tire an opponent.
I think he'll drag Roy into deep water and literally drown him when they get there.

I think this is an embarrassment and possibly more insulting to boxing fans than Floyd-Manny being called off. And Roy also filing the protest that the Danny Green fight was stopped prematurely has made me lose all respect for that punk. If it's not him being weight drained, or losing on purpose to get back at his father, I'm sure this mark will come up with another sad excuse once Bernard executes his has-been @ss for good. Hopkins, for pushing for this fight to get made, also loses points as far as I'm concerned.

He sure doesnt want to lean back on any ropes and play around shoulder rolling , he hasnt got the reflexes any longer and the more you get sparked the more it opens the way for the next little sleep , at his age.

Jones still has a lot of tools, but his reactions and more importantly legs have slowed right down.

Movement was the one thing he had going against hopkins, I can't see him beating Hopkins by standing infront of him or laying on the ropes.

What a joke. Hopkins the legacy fighter (). Clearly Old Hop is guaranteed a bigger slice of the pie now and Old Roy is still worth more moneywise than anyone else around that weight.

I would love it if Roy sparked him.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Sucked in to Danny Green! After his win over Jones he pranced around and thought he'd been able to play the spoiler, but look what we have here, the rematch he said he'd just ruined is happening and unfortunately for him, its kinda at his expense coz his fight with Hop fell through and I am now wondering (jus like after his Roy figh) who he'll be fighting next?!?

This is nothing more then Hopkins wanting to get a piece of Jones in the ring to avenge a lot of shit talk since the first fight nothing more nothing less...Hopkins is still a Marquee name that is a legit P4P fighter.....This is personal for sure

No way Roy can get a KO. He just doesn't have that kill instinct anymore. He could have ended the Trinidad fight anytime he wanted and never pulled the trigger. He spanked Lacy left and right and never pulled the trigger. He showed Anthony Hanshaw what an old man can still do and he never pulled the trigger.

    Plus, it's Hopkins.

I don't think I said Jones will get a KO. His best chance is obviously to take it the distance and try and box smart.
