how young can you start?

ive got a 5 yr old lad, 6 in april so i said id wait for him to reach his sixth birthday before i take him anywhere - was just wondering how old the kids are when they start - he is really keen been watching rocky haha. and theres boxing run through the family it was only me who didnt take it too serious, so would like him to do it if he wants too which he seems to.

For a little kid it should be more about having fun. Just treat it like a game, have them hit your hands/pads and don't turn it into a training regimen.
