understand what i stated. did that demand made the fight to fall apart? the weight penalty is not an addition to the rules, it's normal in most fight contracts tho i agree the penalty amount is exuberant and that is to really prevent floyd from messing with the weigh-in weight again. floyd is a proven weigh-in weight rule breaker

so you admit that the fight fell apart because Pacquiao refused to take a perfectly logical drug test?!?

partly yes but the root cause is floyd's additional rules demand over and above the existing normal boxing commission rules

Partly? You gotta remember PBF agreed to Pacs demands, Pac didnt agree to Floyds. Pac walked away and organised another fight first. $10,000,000 per pound is an addition to the normal rules, so Pac was first to play that game. You could easily argue that if he didnt make that ridiculous demand Floyd wouldnt have demanded the drug tests in reply.

on the contrary, i think mayweather jr is great for the sport. it's been proven that since de la hoya retired, he's the biggest ppv star today. love him or hate him, he sells because he comes across as this arrogant gangster but the truth is, mayweather jr. doesn't always act this way. he acts gangster like to sell tickets but i've seen him at talk shows and he's a very personable person who could be quite likeable for some people.

i'm talking about the root cause why the fight fell apart. anyway this has been discussed in great lengths and no need to argue about it again. also there's an existing lawsuit so we will just wait for its outcome

Instead of the Pactard name calling you should take the post for its context....The Pacquiao fight was not mentioned it was just Floyds constant demands period.....

Here are a few things people are failing to look at....

Floyds resume since 2003,,,,,Tell me a fighter in their prime, show me one dangerous opponent, show me one fighter not on thier way out....Hell in the Hatton fight people seem to forget Hatton looked like shit against every WW he ever faced....Floyd knew Hatton was hand picked for his style...

Where are Floyds PPV drawing powers?...

PBF/DLH....DLH could sell a million PPV buys tripping old ladies donw the stairs FACT...Oscar was the draw for that fight..

PBF/Hatton....Hatton wass the draw for that fight......

PBF/Marquez....People wanted to see what kind of shape PBF was in for the (what everyone assumed was going to be a showdown with Pacquiao)....Real reason it sold so well....

Floyd would not fight Mosley because he is not a PPV draw? (Floyds own words)...Well if Floyd is such a big PPV draw it should not matter who he faces.,.....

Now we want to keep looking for smaller opponents to fill the void? A feather duster in Malignaggi?.....

I am not a Floyd Fan nor a Pacquiao fan but to keep using the Pacquiao fight as a reason to say that PBF is not a pain in the ass and deny has really done little to add to boxings appeal is foolish......

Please name what Floyd has done to make boxing more exciting? Fought Baldomir?, Gatti? Washed up DLH?, A smaller Marquez who struggkled with a one dimensional Diaz?....This is the actions of a great fighter?.......

Make your money all you want but dont act as though these are great achievements.....

Floyd can tell everyone it is raining all he wants but he forgets we can all see him pissing off the balcony

Pac/DLH- DLH was still the draw, yet it sold a hell of a lot less than Mayweather/DLH hmmm

Pac/Hatton- both guys had about even amount of pull in this, and yet it still did less than Mayweather/Hatton, hmmmmmmmm

only reason Cotto/Pacquiao did slightly better than Mayweather/Marquez is because obviously it was more of an even matchup and they are both come forward fighters, there is no doubt in my mind Mayweather/Mosley will outsell Pacquiao/Clottey, and its due to the fact that it's 2 of the biggest names in boxing against each other, while Pacquiao/Clottey is not

Pac/DLH didn't sell as well because it was Oscar on a recent loss. Again.

Pac got second desserts against Hatton. Mayweather got prime pickings.

Pac/Cotto did better than Mayweather/Marquez because it was a far better matchup.

    PAC/DLH - it was joke.. 130 vs 154 to meet at 147..

pac/hitman did less bcoz flips don't buy ppv

cotto/pac did better coz people want it.. Mayweather/Mosley will do more than Pac/Clottey coz both PBF/Mosley are AMERICANS while both Pac/Clottey are outsiders..

The point of this post was to try and get some attention back to fighting and keeping everything on a level playing field. I am glad we have a fighter in Mayweather for the sport of boxing. I think he's done an incredible job with his career. He is a very talented fighter and he has risen to the occasion every chance he had in his career.

The problem I have with him is NOW. Him calling HBO a racists station full of uncle toms. He didn't mind saying all of this after he "retired" But he doesn't seem to mind who the checks are coming from now, does he? That is just pathetic taht he is still and always will fight on their network after the slanderous things he proposed.. At least Fedor Emilinanko has the gusto/intelligence/savy to create his own fighting league. Maybe mayweather can go do that instead of trying to pick apart a system for his own benefit. His recent arguements could have been made at ANYTIME in his long drawn out career (and yes, it is drawn out as hell).

My point of this post should really have read "Why is the world waiting on who Mayweather will fight next." I had no idea people would take this right to heart.

There was a whole post about calling Filipinos "Flips" and how its not really a nice thing to say. Pinoys?

"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."

For Manny/DLH people expecte3d a slaughter due to obvious reasons so why pay money for a one sided fight they could see on HBO for free 2 weeks later.....Turned out people were right just not in the direction expected.....

Hatton had given shit performances with the exception of Malignaggi and even his own UK fan base dropped according to live gates outside the UK.......
