On various occasions but only by average punchers

He takes time establishing himself early doors and is prone to taking a few lumps especially in the 1st 2-3rounds. But once he does establish his rhythym he is just about the most exciting light heavy we have produced in a good while.

Would be stunned if cleverly doesnt go on to win various titles at world level

That's quite a statement considering he has fought no one even remotely close to world class, the best fighter he has fought was a past his best Tony Oakey, Cleverly showed in the Fry fight he has alot to do and needs some sterner tests before thinking about world level and I would be suprised if he won one world title never mind various one's.

I think Tony Bellew would give him all he could handle.

courtney fry came to fight that night and for all his technical lacking is more than a decent enough opponent for cleverly at this stage of his career.

You can only beat whats infront of you and while i do accept he has to up his defence by the time the bigger guys come a calling, the technical aspects are all in place for him to acheive big things

Rate cleverly over brook as our best prospect right now

Kell Brook is another one, I think he has look exciting but again who the fuck has he fought? People need to take the reins in a bit with this overhyping of are fighters, his best win is against Lomax ffs.

He needs to step it up with a fighter that is atleast top British level, so far he hasnt fought any of the top boys in the country but for some reason people think he is the next coming. I think I will reserve my judgement for a while yet.

Who were hatton and JC fighting 17-18 fights in? They were doing the same thing working their way up fighting 3rd-4th tier opponents in leisure centres.

You cant rush these guys and you dont need too. Khan got top billing because of what he did at the olympics not because of his natural ability. He got found out by a far inferior fighter because unlike these 2 he didnt learn a sufficent amount of in ring experience and got caught out.

Who said anything about rushing them?? Kell Brook has won and defended the British title three times and has fought no one of note on the domestic scene, Jennings. O Donnell, Watson, Hatton, all these and other need to be considered before we talk about him being a multiple world champ. That's my point to many British fans get to excited with prospects and start making bold statements about them.

If kell brook was to tear through every single one of those names you`d still be able to answer the question of who exactly has he fought to suggest he can become a world champion and the answer would again be nobody

Fact is you can go on how far a fighter will go through natural talent alone and not from the fact that because he hasnt fought anyone of note he shouldnt be taken seriously.

Shame the Jennings fight didn't happen. It would have been a good guide to where Brook is going.
