Default Chris John Challenges Lopez and Gamboa

Chris John Challenges Juanma Lopez, Yuriorkis Gamboa - Boxing News

The article says he's taking Arum's suggestion of willing to take on Lopez or Gamboa. Looks like the 126 scene is really heating up now.

i actually think a Lopez/John fight would be entertaining as would a Gamboa/Juarez fight, and it'd end similar to the Gamboa Vs. Mtagwa/Lopez Vs. Luevano card but it'd be a great show case for both guys

I know people are saying once Gamboa gets in with a well schooled fighter his flaws will be exposed, but I think a guy like JML who has something dynamic(his power) will always be a lot more dangerous than a little bit better schooled fighter like Chris John.

I just see Gamboa hitting Chris John in every instance he doesn't want to be hit, and if Gamboa fights under control he won't be there for Chris to counter.

    I don't... Mostly out of principle, b/c it's Taeth.

I think the longer CJohn has Gamboa in there the better chance he has in the fight. John is a very cerebral fighter; he counters really well.; he doesn't stop letting his hands go. And lets not forget how many times YG has been on the canvas!! It would be a long night for Gamboa. I'm still not exactly sold on YG after the Mtagwa fight. I think that guy was a perfect opponent for him to shine. He had a LOT of trouble with Jaminez, but maybe he has ironed out some of those flaws??

I think JML has a better chance than YG. John's punches are going to have better pop against a wide puncher.

John should have only challenged JML, I agree with Taeth here.

John has as much chance as anyone at 126 of giving these guys 12 solid rounds. There just isnt that much talent at feather at the moment.

    Totally agree...

Nevermind the fact that I'm sick of Chris John.

He should avoid them both, they are not in the same class as Rocky Juarez. Maybe he is a cerebral fighter but he doesn’t have the tools to beat them: he’s not fast enough and he doesn’t have the power to outpoint or to stop them .
