    I figured it was a joke... I mean c'mon

Walking forward and throwing bombs is not exactly me definition of "slick"

It's a good question but I would not agree at all that only black fighters can be classified as 'slick', that's ridiculous. Also, there are different types of slick fighters. Some fighters can be slick because they blend good defense and good counterpunching to be slick, others are slick moving forward, others are slick punchers, it can be applied to many things.

Slick, crafty, saavy, smart; all of those words are interchangeable to a certain extent. I believe what you are looking for here is the exact meaning of the word, right?

This. There are a fair few non-black fighters who could be considered slick like Paulie Malignaggi, Paul Spadafora and Sergio Martinez to a point, unless we're now going to count anyone who isn't anglo-saxon as black

I think the best active examples would be Floyd, Hopkins, Chad Dawson, Eddie Chambers and Ivan Calderon, as well as some of those mentioned above just to bump up the affirmative action for paler skinned brothers.

I think in the early part of his career ya could put him that catergory, but as his career progressed and he got older then he did start to get caught alot more, as he basically used upper body movement to dodge opponents punches.

No, not the exact meaning, I knew full well people would have different definitions of slick.

Hopkins said something after the Pavlik fight about "black slick fighters" (he might have been misquoted, I can't find the exact quote). Yet as this thread shows some people wouldn't even class Hopkins himself as slick. And of course non-black fighters have been mentioned.
