Roach's camp aren't denying that they're taking their time with Khan and not rushing him, JMM will easily be his toughest opponent. Maidana? seriously? the guy who lost to Kotelnik? who was considered by many to be 'the worst champ out there' for Khan to get a phony title?
Many people believe Marcos Rene Maidana beat Andriy Kotelnik, plus its because we want to see him beat a puncher. He's only fought 1 puncher and look what happened there. And lastly pretty much everyone was saying the JMM fight, was a warm up fight for Floyd Mayweather Jr.

And hardly anyone gives credit to Floyd Mayweather Jr. Considering JMM struggled at Lightweight so above Lightweight, was really a joke.

Hold on a minute, I'll agree that JMM was less effective considering his ATG standards below 135, but he KOed 2 of the top 3 who'd never been stopped b4, easily making him the no.1 Lightweight. Now u tellin me that a guy no.1 in his division goes 5 pounds north and suddenly becomes a 'joke' contender? Size would be a slight equaliser for Khan, as well as JMM's age, but still a very very capable opponent who'd probably enter the ring a favourite. Guessin from your views u'd have Khan favourite for this which, ironically, means u rate his abilities as a boxer more thab the majority of us.

JMM's KO resume is way more impressive than Prescott's is at 135 by the way.

actually i think marquez might win this fight. if we're judging khan in the barrera fight, that's good and dandy but remember, barrera was really washed up while marquez, while not in his prime is far from being finished. besides, i think marquez' superior defense would make it harder for khan to look as good as he did against barrera. another thing, marquez definitely had more power than barrera and i think with khan's china chin, he could very well catch him and KO him. even barrera tagged khan a few times and "moved" him a bit. i think marquez, while being the older fighter would definitely be a very dangerous opponent for the youngster. in boxing, the puncher always has the harder task of ko'ing his opponent but in this case, i think marquez can definitely do it because he's still a very dangerous fighter for anyone 140 and below!

You've got the wrong end of the stick, if you read my last comment again. Im on about JMM being at Welterweight vs Floyd Mayweather Jr, was a joke considering he was pushing his limit at Lightweight.

I've got no problem with Amir Khan facing JMM, and i've said in other threads i've got no problem with it. But its still a fact JMM struggled at Lightweight, so moving up to Jr Welterweight would even be worse for him.

Considering he was fleshy around the mid-section vs Floyd Mayweather Jr, and taking into account as i've already said. The big height and reach advantages Amir Khan has got, plus the size and the youth.

Im just really sick of these kind of fights being made, they've been made too much for my liking recently. And i'd rather just two fighters in there own weightclass fight eachother. To prove who is the best.

I mean how is this really much different to the MAB situation ? yes JMM is fresher than MAB but again it will be Amir Khan, being too big and fresh.

Yes i will give him credit and yes i have no problem with the fight, but i'd rather Amir Khan fight someone in his own weightclass. But yes i do realize he wants to make a name for himself. And a fight with JMM seems perfect.

But as a JMM fan i hope he doesn't take it.
