SKY LIVE BROADCAST COMMENCES @ 20.00 HRS

    FRANKIE GAVIN vs. PETER McDONAGH
    JAMES DeGALE vs. MATTHEW BARR
    KEVIN MITCHELL vs. IGNACIOS MENDOZA
    NATHAN CLEVERLY vs. ANTONIO BRANCALION

SKY LIVE BROADCAST CONCLUDES @ 23.00 HRS

Mitch/Clev KO double pays over 2/1
Mendoza looked half decent when he fought John Murray. It was a close fight until Murray got headbutted. Not sure how he's been doing since mind. He looked tough and quite talented, but he looks to have gone backwards. Could be half entertaining though, especially if Mitchell under-estimates him.
Mendoza is ok for a fighter looking for experience in around there 10-15th fight like Murray was but in truth mate it's a joke of a fight, Mitchell wants Katsidis and he is warming up against a journeyman who usually fights 6/8 rounders against novice pro's.

Mitchell should stop him within 5.

True, he should, but this is the sort of fight where Mitchell could make it very difficult for himself. He has previous for doing this sort of thing. He should still win mind, but it could be interesting imo.

Mitchell looks to have grown up now. I doubt he'll be too reckless with a big Katsidis/title fight looming.

Think the switch to Jimmy Tibbs and having to get a job whilst being kept out of the ring with a busted hand done him good.

Hope you had a bit of that mate .

Shit card in truth, some shocking match Makeing from Frankies team there, agains especially Mitchell joke match up. But like Fenster said few decent British fighters turned the fight down Limond/Arthur. But surely they could do better than that.

I think Franky needs to up his game with the lack of stars in his camp at the moment.

Was quite pleased with the Cleverly performance tonight, another step on the road, although as it turned out Brancalion's defence wasn't much in evidence, demonstrating why he has a few losses on his slate. Thought Cleverly was picking his right hand well, and looked like he could do with more tests at European level before he starts thinking of the world belts.

Mitchell did the business, and it was a peach of a shot for the finish. Gavin looked good, and DeGale was a bit too cocky, but ruthless when he decided to finish it. With Cleverly likely to be off for a good few months now though, I agree it's not looking like a busy few months for Warren's boys.

If Mitchell cant get Katsidis in the next few months, I think Frank needs to make a Murray/Mitchell fight happen.

I really think he needs to give the public a big fight his next two cards are shite in truth just between domestic level fighters Smith/Dodson etc etc.

I think a Mitchell-Katsidis fight would be great and I was criticized by a few Aussies when I suggested it as the Brit fighter more suited to Kats level and weight than Khan.

I think Cleverly is ready for another step-up, he looked excellent, if he tightens up getting caught by those counter lefts, he could be a serious proposition. He should go for the WBO or WBA belts though because any of Dawson, Cloud, Johnson or Pascal would brutalize him right now.

DeGale did look good and I think he was only arsing about because it was as good as in his hometown and he brought a lot of the support in. I thought he dealt with Barr very effectively, and he's surprised me with his potential, although Warren has to get these guys fighting more regularly.

I saw some serious flaws in Gavin who I thought was the best of the Beijing bunch. He gets countered much too easily and he still hasn't really corrected this, and the commentators seem to ignore it. I think at some stage he's going to fight someone who just catches him with too good a shot and then there will be trouble.

I said it from day one mate, I dont think Gavin suits the pro's, I think his style he has he takes to many punches and has not got enough pop.

Degale I thought did well glad we didnt see any slapping tonight. Mitchell/Kats would be great. If I was Warren I would do everything in my power to get Woods out of retirement for one last shot sort of test Clev would need.

I was just watching the Clev press confrence from last week regarding the fight and there seems to be quite a bit of needle between him his dad and the Calzaghes, I thought they left on good terms. But a few comments he made about how Calzaghe use to take liberties with him in sparring he thought was uncalled for and Clev's dad laughing about how Joe ducked Glen Johnson, it's on youtube if anyone wants a look.

Yes, Skel, I sure did have it

I've always been a bit critical of Cleverly but he's improved and is now looking impressive. Like the way once he realised Brancalion was a sucker for the right hand he really exploited it.

I think Mitchell will outbox then stop Katsidis.

Gavin, it looks to me, will struggle keeping fighters off up in class. Reckon he's pretty close to being a powderpuff puncher. DeGale did what was expected (ring entrance a bit OTT).

    Cox is borderline insane.

I agree with the last half dozen posts. I was expecting Gavin to be a far slicker boxer than he actually is and I can't see him being successful at world level. I think De Gale is coming on really well but getting rapped into the ring and everything, oh dear. He's not making it easy for people to like him. What happened to Saunders? I know he was having a spot of bother with the law. Anybody know what's up with him?

I think Saunders has fallen in love with Mr Kipling cakes, the guy should be fighting at Welterweight/Light Middle. But he doesn't seem the most deicated.
