Here's a perfect 80s action weekend line up (some straight to video classics too !)

    Cobra
    Predator
    No Retreat No Surrender
American Ninja (featuring the legendary Michael Dudikoff)
    Streets of Fire
    Remo : Unarmed and Dangerous
    Wraith

then finish off with dance classic Breakdance !!!

I bought GAMER a couple of nights ago after reading up somewhere that it was really good...............................it was utter shit to be frank!!!I was expecting a modern day RUNNINGMAN kind of film but it was just soo bad.

    I'd give it 4 out of 10

Watched 'The Spirit' last night, found myself wondering wtf was I thinking putting this on the queue. If you haven't seen it yet don't bother, there is plenty of hotness to go around (Scarlet Johansson, Eva Mendes, Jamie King)
but that's pretty much it for entertainment value. The action sequences play out like three stooges scenes (sound effects included) and the one liners are piss poor.

wow some real good moviers in that lot

my fav out of them lot would be

Cobra - silly but loved the scene in the shopping market ' I ain't no psycho, man! I'm a HERO! You're looking at a fuckin' hunter! I'm a hero of the New World! - 'You're a disease and I'm the cure'.

Predator - watched it couple nights ago again

No Retreat No Surrender - i used to watch this over & over i was amazed at van damme

American Ninja - a classic thru & thru

Wraith - i loved this film always remember the quote 'skunt you pussy'

Rocky 4 - what can i say perfect 80's film

Back to the future - think this got voted best film of the 80's?

Roadhouse - this had it all fights & a fit bird in it

Blood sport - arguably best martial arts film after enter the dragon?

finally watched the deer hunter as never seen it before & was on tv, it was ok i suppose but as so old some times movies dont have the same effect as when it was originally released, the acting was great in it but was so long a film i lost interest

exactly what I thought mate re the deer hunter - that fucking wedding scene goes on longer than an episode of Lost

I studied it at uni as part of a module I was doing and there was a big debate about why Robert De niro stripped off after the wedding eg people saying he wanted to leave his culture behind and get away from it, soul cleansing etc..

I thought to myself - maybe Bob just wanted to get his cock out

I just saw the Crazies last weekend. Decent flick. I just wish there'd been more 'crazies' in it.

I also saw Law Abiding Citizen last night. It was just 'meh'. Gerard Butler is totally crap at doing an American accent.

ha ha i think they just wanted some hype for the movie, the wedding scene never ended i think we get the picture there all friends & nieve & all that bollocks but it must of been on for a bloody hour or summit

watched couples retreat with the wife last night, it was extremely average comedy funny for first half then shitty serious 2nd half

i was really excited abt watching the fourth kind as looked pretty good from the trailers, man this film is freakiest i have ever seen, it stars milla jovovich playing a psychologist named Abigail Tyler who interviewed traumatized patientswho believed they had been abducted by aliens in Nome, Alaska.
half the footage of movie is real & really shit me up, some really freaky scary stuff. i had never heard abt her work & i will do some research thru the internet because it is really interesting. The thing that ruined the movie was the mix of real footage & the acting as the real footage is grainny & old looking which makes it weirder then mixes to bloody well lit hollywood shite. other than that this made for very interesting viewing, i would be very interested to know if any of you guys have seen this film.
