Calzaghe Says Low Blow Against Hopkins Deliberate!!! on Boxing Daily

Hopkins was dirty but Calzaghe was no better.

This fight had no clear winner, Calzaghe was sloppy and inaccurate and Hopkins was over cautious. You either had Hopkins winning because he landed the cleaner harder punches or you had Calzaghe winning because he threw more and controlled the tempo.

I can agree with majority favoring Calzaghe because he controlled the tempo of the right later on, but it wasn't a clear win.
LOL, I wondered when ya would get involved in this one bud.

Thing is would Joe have been as dirty IF Hopkins fought a clean fight ?

I doubt it, Joe is not a dirty fighter by nature, he simply responded to what was happening to him

Joe won this fight by a landslide
No, probably not. Thats the thing though, being dirty is apart of Hopkins style.

The thing with the thread starter is, he criticize's Hopkins for being dirty and totally ignores the fact that Joe fought dirty himself. It's just unfair.

The only thing clear about that fight was that it was shit to watch.

That's because it's like pointing out Riddick Bowe threw a low blow after Golota unleashed the third combo on his goolies.

    No it's not.

The thread starter was simply too biased to point out that Joe fought dirty himself.

All anyone remembers is Hopkins faking low blows, intentionally punching low himself and throwing some quite impressive headbuts.

Calzaghe's minimal fouls were common to every boxing match. That's why no one mentions them... well apart from Calzaghe haters/Hopkins huggers

The shot by KT was on the Belt/ waistband. Is that considered low?

yep KT shot was ok, Hattons was deliberate and he should have lost a point, but then if the ref let him wrestle all night he wasn't gonna take a point for deliberate low blows either

Thats all Calzaghe fans remember. they don't like to admit there boy fought dirty as well.

Don't try and justify Calzaghe's illegal rabbit punching and low blows. Whether they were minimal or not, he did it.

Calzaghe even admitted to hitting Hopkins low in round 2 because Hopkins put him on his ass in round 1.

Calzaghe fans probably would turn a blind eye to his minimal fouls. Just like Hopkins huggers try to mask his cowardly, despicable cheating.

The neutrals would by far remember Hopkins cowardly, despicable cheating over Calzaghe's minimal fouls though, right?

I was a really big fan of B-Hop until this fight. Right from the get go with the racial slurs and all the jabberin. He talked so much shit you thought he was going to literally kill Calzaghe. But in the end it seemed to be an old beaten fighter. The low blows were a joke and that alone made me think alot less of B-Hop. I mean Christ did the one low blow even hit Hopkins? It looked like Joe's glove grazed his cup, an open glove at that.

You mean Hopkins one clean hard punch (well maybe 3)

The polls showed a landslide victory for Calzaghe. No neutrals thought Hopkins won that fight (well maybe two or three)

tszyu was throwing low all night, hatton didnt complain once it was the ref stepping in every time. It was only the 4th occasion he became so sick and tired of getting hit in the groin he gave a blatant right back at tszyu

that too me is perfectly fair!!
