It was one of those fights where the faster guy didn't win. Was it me (totally possible) or did Vasquez's style look a little Cottoesque?

he seemed a bit like a mix between Trinidad and Cotto to me lol his stance looked pretty identical to Tito with the high guard

The announcing was horrible, the coverage was just as bad as they lagged with the replay and never showed complete best of round highlights.

It was an easy win for Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. It took him one round to figure out his opponent and then it was all Wilfredo. We had a lot of boxing last night.

The first few fights from Bayamon were nothing more than a circus side show.

Only comment I have is that in the "circus" the twin brothers McWilliams and McJoe Arroyo made their pro debut, and I can tell there will be a lot to hear from them. So start watching their fights. They have great technique and very good power. I believe this is WC material for future, remeber these names.

Great video, thank you my friend, this was the first opportunity of seeing the KO since I could not watch the fight.

Finally I could see not the entire fight, but rounds 1 and 2, and the KO in Youtube. I think Vazquez has Tito's killer instinct, and somehow he is similar to his dad, his trainer. I don't feel this was the natural Cotto's style. I think Cotto forced this style trying to impress the TV, being more aggressive than his natural counter punching body KO's. And, this was what made him look so bad against Pacman.

i agree, Cotto IMO was always a natural counter puncher, but he strayed from that style because he was always stronger than his opponent

Just another example of greedy Filipinos mismatching their own fighters. They love to send their prospects to other countries when they're not ready-just for a quick buck. Manny got lucky and escaped this, but Penalosa, Espinoza and others did not.
